Game blogs do not hurt NBA players. God...I feel like a dumbass just having to type that.
Of course not - but what's the 'benefit' from him starting the dang threads?

Yeah? Well the past 5 times amused has done it a Spur has been injured. And never when someone else has started one.

    What now?
    Coincidence?

It's a lockout season. It's not like we're the only team going through injuries. We don't even know how bad TP is injured yet.

Look, spurs beating hot teams on the road is no joke. Especially games against great defenses when the offense stalls.
Celtics had the hottest win streak in the East and every analyst on NBATV has been sucking their jocks.

We win on the road on a B2B with our team stars not playing well.

How do you account for that all you ing bandwagoneers?

Ya gotta believe and love your team for a winning effort, no matter how ugly, just like you do your wives.

Awful 2nd half, on the bright side Spurs still win despite scoring less than 30 2nd half points! That's a sign of a damn good team. Boston has had a couple of days off too, while Spurs just came into town from Cleveland on a back to back.

You know, this is actually the best possible way to get a win. I think it's easier for the Spurs to get complacent if they win by 35 (Cavaliers).

They know they played like tonight and it'll still light a fire under their asses, and yet we still get the 'W' at the end of the day

Best way to win in the regular season when you're trying to build momentum into the playoffs, IMO.
Agreed. Pop likes to throw a game from time to time to give the guys that "teachable moment". We get the benefits of that moment without the standings hit.

Still though, hard to watch, ugly win.

Pop looked clueless when they went small. Doc outcoached him the ENTIRE second half

Neal was ing awful at PG. Put him back to SG for 'S sake. Big shots though.

Was that Bonner's first clutch shot of the year under 2 minutes?

    I like Green/Leonard/Jax rotating late at SG/SF.

    Diaw where you at?

Patty Mills is like, the first positive/happy go lucky benchwarmer we've ever had. I really wish he had played 15 minutes, especially when they went small, what the .

We got the wrong Texas PG(s).

Why stop the crisp ball movement in the second half? The offense was almost unwatchable. But the defense was pretty solid, so I'll gladly accept that trade. But I still don't see an excuse for that kind of stagnant ball movement.

I still don't know what to think of the rotations.

Love the solid defense when the Celtics were threatening and threatening. They had like 5 chances to tie or take the lead, we let them convert only on one.

I'm not able to watch Spurs games live, so I have to wait a few hours to download them. Instead, I follow this thread and the box score on nba.com. Seriously, it was probably more stressful for me reading than watching this time.

Can't wait to watch the game and relive the magic

They have no stars. You could argue Parker is their star and he wasn't even in the game at the end, It was Neal and Green at the backcourt. The Spurs IMO, are built for the regular season. In the playoffs stars win you games. And we only lost this game because we let them score 60 pts on us in the first half..nbd. We are legit and once Ray gets going, with the way AB has been playing we are going to be a very, very tough out in the playoffs. If Pietrus comes back too, we will be even better.

And how did he do that? Did he tell the Spurs to stop making baskets? Did he draw up a game plan to dribble into double teams and only attempt jumpshots?
He left players and rotations in who were manifestly having terrible games. He had other shooters and ball handlers and used none of them. He underplayed Splitter, overplayed the Big Three until Tony got hurt, and left people on the bench who might have contributed, but never got the chance.

Hey, I'm trying to give the guy credit for having a reason for this game being managed as he did. Otherwise...

Tbh, those are the type of games in the regular season that prepare you for the playoffs.

    But damn.
I remember the Spurs getting out to a big lead against the Celtics and giving it up. The infamous Sean Elliott "it's over" game. Much rather see them manage to gut out a tough win when they've lost all momentum than lose it.

BTW, how about you answer the PM I sent you weeks ago asking about trades?

I love how Splitter scored two buckets when the rest of the team couldn't score any and he gets pulled.
