Actually, Fish was slow but he hedged well on pick n rolls... phil also made sure to pack the paint...
mike brown... not so much![]()
That is on Mike Brown's dumb mashed potato brain. Ebanks and Goudelock are two guys who can contribute given the exposure. Lakers fans have seen Ebanks since last year and Goudelock this year. Why Mike Brown won't play these two are beyond me. If I was a coach looking for bench players who can contribute, I'd try everything.

Only problem with Phil was that he was re ed with timeouts
That is the defensive genius we call Mike Brown. I'll make sure to order his DVDs.![]()
I think that was a good strategy for him, especially with a veteran team. You create your own mess, find a way to get your asses out of det you created.
But that wasn't so much a good idea when guys like Smush Parker and Kwame Brown were starting for the Lakers.![]()
At attributed to half of close games we probably should have won by double digits. I always thought Phil was a little lazy in that respect, but still the best coach in modern NBA history along with Riley.
I've seen Mike Brown kill laker runs this year by calling a timeout, tbh. I think he thinks they're mandatory.
Phil would only call a timeout when somebody had 4 fouls before the half or there was an injury. I mean, when the game is on the line at the end it pays off, but most of the time the game wouldn't be even close if he used time-outs when needed.
Not reading this thread in its entirety, but Lamar Odom used to look like a 1st team All NBAer playing against the Suns. He's still a horrible used to be decent offensive player. Nothing more, nothing less.
I missed the game, but the box score tells me Ebanks has finally played. MB can't be fired soon enoughPERIOD.
That is it, and that is all.
Phil's subs ution and timeout patterns were weird, re ed at times. But he's the only coach who can pull off not calling a timeout in the middle of the opposition's 10-0 run and get away with it.
This. Pretty ing plese!!! He played Goudelock but he only played him spare minutes -- when the game was already decided.![]()
You would think with Kobe out The Goudes would get some burn.
Brown is such a got.
He and his pet Steve Blake smh
lakerfans coming out with the pitchforks for their championship coach Mike Brown
We're going to stick that in his big head.
Sure you are. 3.....2.....1
than a jackrabbit on an April afternoon, Midst?

Sebastian Telfair scored 13. I didn't even know he was still in the League.![]()
Most of it on Blake, yet MB keeps playing him.![]()
