Right now, I'd pick the Spurs over any team in the league in a 7 game series.

This team is the best in the league. Last year's team was mentally soft. I rewatched that Memphis series from last year and you could see it in the way the played. This team has a fire to them! Even Matt Bonner showed a little passion when he hit that shot against Boston. Our introduction to the world will come from those games against LA. This team has a chance to cause major damage in the playoffs! Screw that notion that stars have to play more minutes in the playoffs and you gotta shorten the rotation. This year we win it all with amazing team basketball! Top to bottom, we are good! I hope Pop doesn't over think this one!!

Too mentally soft guys are gone in GH and RJ. Two more left in Bonner and Blair.

I remember last year when we had LA at home and got dismantled! At one point in that game, Artest blocked a shot and flexed his biceps to the crowd. A waited to see if someone would respond and no one didn't. No dunk, no TP finish in the paint, Duncan bank shot, or anything! After that we had the lineup change and the rest was history. The moves Pop made this season shows why he's a good coach/GM. This team needed toughness, not TD and Splitter on the court at the same time! Am I the only one who thinks that's not the way to go? If that was the case, then the Grizz or the Lakers with their size would've won the le! Play to our strengths this year and win the le! Size isn't our strength now, depth and high bbiq is!!

I think Bonner is coming into his own, finally! Blair needs to rebound and body up his man with his girth. Make his guy work hard for his points, or ride the bench! This year they either get the job done or ride the bench! We got a real shot this year, now aint the time for excuses or lack of effort! Just do your job! Blair used to be a beast on the boards!!

Links? I wouldn't mind re-watching a few games from that season.

I don't know. I think just because of the way teams in the West defend (or don't), Bonner might be okay as long as the Spurs avoid athletic teams like Memphis. The Boston/Chicago games kind of enforce for me that he's probably not going to do well against suffocating defense this year or ever really.

Blair is just too out of control imo. I wouldn't cry if Diaw took his minutes in the playoffs.

You can tell by the way the bench got fired up during the Boston game, that they were in it for the ship. Last years team, you could never really tell

Agree. It's almost like watching the 2002 team vs. the 2003 team. The former arguably had more talent but no drive.
    ?

2002 was likely the least talented team of the Tim Duncan Era, while 2003 was probably the most talented team.

Anyways, right this second I think it's pretty clear that the Spurs are the hottest team in the league. Unfortunately, the playoffs don't start for 20 days ... which is like three months in Spurs years in terms of avoiding injuries.

Spurs are deepest. Miami the most talented. Best isn't decided during the regular season.

While I agree, what I meant is that at this moment, Spurs are playing the best ball and can take on anyone, including Heat, in a series.
