Ken Mauer being a lead a official is a complete joke.
That's 100% my fault, sorry. They were up 8 when I turned on the game, and the Jazz started their run at that exact moment. Happens every time I turn on a Spurs game in progress.
Seriously, though...they had a chance to win, but Pop was more concerned about experimenting with rotations than winning this game. The most annoying thing was having to listen to the Jazz announcers on the game feed. UGH.
Congrats, Utah...you beat the Spurs bench by a whopping 7 points in SLC.![]()
Ken Mauer being a lead a official is a complete joke.
Onto the next one. Atleast the big 3 got some rest for LAL.
lol you would. I do agree on Jack playing his worst game since coming here.
true but those es are one and done guaranteed. If they even get in
Green 3-11
Mills 4-10
Jackson 2-13
Out rebounded, ft disparity, no big 3, is asking for a loss.
Oh well. They fought and hopefully they're ready for the Lakers on Wednesday.
If he's not playing with Manu or TP, then Pop has to call 4 down for Tiago.
I think it's a better play than calling a Tiago pick n roll with Neal/Green/Mills.
dude is ballin.. his prod in 22 mn is great... pop is an ass hole regarding Tiago... there is no other word
at people blaming Bonner. As much as I love SJax and Green, they really sucked tonight. Neal and Mills were shot-happy, but they made a good share of them. If TP played the Spurs win this game big.
Let's hope guys are angry and ready for LA and the Big 3 will be rested.
Spurs were +8 and the refs gifted the game to the Utah Jazz.
Anyone who disagrees is either blind or intentionally ignorant so as not to come off as a "whiner" or a homer. This has nothing to do with the free throw differential. It's not about looking at the FT differential and going "Oh, the Jazz have X more free throw attempts therefore there must have been cheating." Not at all. It's about watching the game.
I thought Stephen Jackson blatantly fouled/held a Jazz player and surprisingly the refs didn't call that one. I have no problem admitting it. I just tell it like it is.
Of all the games this season, the refs in this game and in the first quarter of the miami game were blatantly cheating by calling certain levels of contact as fouls on one end and ignoring the same calls on the other end whenever convenient.
Valiant effort. Spurs made too many mistakes down the stretch though
Crappy crappy play in the 4th. Can't believe we were up 8 pts in the 4th with this team and we couldn't pull off the win. Zero effort in the 4th q and Sjax's shooting was simply disgusting tonight. Lead the team with a +/- of -15, way to go Jackson after having the night off yesterday! Maybe he needs to start working on that stroke of his rather than his music career, all his 3's are bricks. Usually when a shooter misses a 3 you can see that the ball is headed in the right direction, with Jackson you can just see that the shot is a brick, awful honestly.
Pop's a re for tonight, loss is obviously on him 100%. You play Tony tonight and you get a win. WTF is up with him resting a 29 year old player who is in the peak of his career? Which team rests its 29year old superstar EVER? Duncan was never rested 5-6 years ago like TP has been rested, he only plays 33mpg night anyways. I wonder how some older players make it through playing 36+mpg a night and are never rested. This really gets to me. I can understand Manu and Duncan, but Tony no. What i really hate is resting them all the same night, if Pop insists on giving Tony a rest then ing give it to him another easy game we would probably win without him.
Where was Kawhi in the fourth? Why did they allow the momentum to shift by putting Blair in for Splitter in the middle of the 4th ( then Pop realized how much of a dumb he was and corrected that mistake 30 seconds later) ? Why is Bonner still allowed to play crunch time? Why with Danny Green playing so terrible, and Patty Mills playing a good game himself ( while being the only one on the court that could handle the ball) was Green in during crunch time?
This.
Jax with a 2/13 and 3 TOs and 3 fouls and a -15 in 31:30 of play, when he was supposed to lead and score, is the reason we lost. I can forgive Green a bit since he's bound to have ups and downs, but if either of these guys can hit the broad side of a Momo then we win.
For anyone here who thinks being up 8 with 6-7 minutes to go is a sure win, you need to watch more games.
We're talking about a team fighting for their playoff lives going against a team missing its iden y, in their house, and getting the benefit of the whistle.
I'm disappointed too, but happens all the time.
Everyone knows the team that gets hot before the playoffs goes deep, Pop knows this, he better be getting ready for another one, I guess remembering the taste of a loss is good. We need to finish the season great for this team to be confident, especially when we are playing PHX, LAL, and MEM.
Disgusting game by the officials I am gonna be sick.
He might be washed up
Why the does Pop always push his luck with Bonner.
ing dumb of a coach. Bonner played a great 1st half of the 4th quarter. That's it, just leave it at that. Always pushing his luck with Bonner like Bonner is going to turn into a great player that doesn't choke.
Sjax, pathetic on offense, but 1000 times better than RJ on defense.
Danny Green may have lost his starting spot with this performance. Horrible game from Danny. He's so bad with easy shots.
I'd be ing mad if Kobe didn't play on wednesday. you Lakafans
Two things I'll mention (others have said the same):
1. Leonard should have been out there late in 4th for rebounding, defense.
2. I'm a little worried SJAX hasn't hit too many big 3s since his arrival (Everything else for the most part has been positive, but he has had a couple of 3s late in games that he hasn't converted).
His defense was a lot better than what we could have gotten from RJ.
Of course.
