The problem is the Lakers will never make it that far.
Looking back on the past playoff match-ups they had in the last decade, these two teams just played good ball against each other. There wasn't really any bull controversy or dirty play. Each team just wanted it as badly as the other. I always hated the spurs when playing against them, but i respected the out of them. This season could be the last season that both teams are contenders, so it would be nice to end an era with one final matchup.

It would be a good matchup. Even though the Lakers look very underwhelming, you can't count out a team with their frontline and championship experience.
It's like the Lakers and the Celtics. This rivalry deserves one more encore for the road.
