Velvet Underground -- a band that's more important than their music, if you catch mah drift. Like Razon, I really like their banana cd :crofl (of course it's not stupid to call it the 'banana cd" because it was a self led album velv underground plus nico; for instance nobody scoffs ppl for caling "The Beatles' the 'white album"). It might have been the Chicago ins ute of art, or modern art museum, not sure, but i saw this cool display about andy warhol and the making of that CD, cool notes and sketches and stuff. somewhat-little-known-fact: Lou Reed now lives on a certain Caribbean tax haven....

I must be in the minority, but my favorite songs of theirs are the Nico-sung tracks. "All Tomorrow's Parties" and "I'll Be Your Mirror", especially, are great, weird-ass pop tunes.

Sweet Jane is good. Favorite VU song is I'm Waiting For The Man off the banana record album.

"Sweet Jane" is a good tune but, like most of their later stuff, sounds more like solo Reed.

The first 2 Velvet albums are really a whole other beast, for better or worse. I would embed a video of "Heroin", but I don't know how. Pretty much their signature tune.
