Even without Kobe, Lakers will play their asses off and bring their A game. Spurs will be in a dogfight. I see this game unfolding like the Boston game. Spurs will charge ahead early, but the Lakers interior will slowly wear down the Spurs and the Lakers will creep back into the game, making for a nailbiter of a 4th quarter.
It all depends on how badly the Lakers want to maintain 3rd seed, Spurs are likely settling for 2nd

Expecting Bynum to have a so-so game, but MVPau will drive the lakeshow bus tonite, and Barnes to be the unexpected big scorer playa. I think (hope) the Spurs will take the game, but it will be compe ive till the end.

This has letdown game written all over it for the Spurs.
Let Gasol eat what he wants and flash double Bynum in the post, forcing him to try to pass out. Spurs should be able to destroy them on the perimeter on both ends.

Meh, the big 3 are rested. coming off a loss and I think Pop has them locked in for this b2b with Memphis. I'd be surprised to see a letdown from them, tbh.

Kobe sucked most of the intrigue from this matchup ... even those saying it's a good test for the Spurs frontline, it doesnt matter because Kobe is our best post passer ... and Im sure they will double off Artest.
We wont be able to get a good gauge by this game.
But as Cully would say only ____ and _____ play the injury card ... if they beat us down then they beat us down.
Spurs have been battling injury all year ...no excuses, Kobe or not.
