crofl tomorrow is an ordinary day. Get up, go to work, same

I'm treating this as a regular season win. It becomes special because the Spurfan rage, meltdown and panic is epic.

I feel the same about tonight's loss as I will if we win the next two games against LA with Kobe playing.

Then let's flip those cars and start a structure fire. That's how these L.A. Suns celebrate the most important win of the season. Sorry 2011 Spurs.

For the Lakers to go far, they'd need Bynum to have nights like this or better consistently, which he hasn't been able to bring.
I guess 18 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks a game isn't consistent. Since they beat the number one team in the west by 20 points, it's not really necessary for him to play better than he did last night.

Seeing as how the Spurs got bounced by a talented power forward center combo in the first round last year, I'd say the Lakers got something here. Of course the Spurs can play better but #17 is probably the worst person the Spurs can face because they physically can't handle him.

Kobe coming back actually works in the Spurs favor. I'd much rather have him shooting the ball at 43% than Bynum or Gasol at 50+.

It's all good we still got 2 more games to play by the end of next week. These over reacting spurs fan don't represent all of us. They must of forgot how we've been playing all year long. Check back next Saturday.

Oh and can we get a list of all the "fans" that have jumped off the wagon please? I wanna see how they're posts have changed by next week.

Those 30 rebounds aren't exactly normal. If he had gotten, say, 16 rebounds instead, the game would've been much closer. Then again he got something like 5 rebounds in one possession to get 2 points, so it's not like he gave the Lakers that many extra chances to score.

If he got five rebounds in one possession, he gave them six extra chances to score. Each individual chance counts as an extra opportunity to make a basket, and also costs the Spurs a chance to do the same. While 30 rebounds aren't normal, the game wasn't ever close. All 16 rebounds by Bynum would have done is shortened garbage time by a few minutes.

It was a 5 point game at halftime and by then he had his 19 rebounds. If they were spread out throughout the game then it would've been closer. Those 5 rebounds in one possession in the end only lead to 2 points, but I agree that they took possible points away from the Spurs.

Sorry, but you seem to be moving the goalposts. Bottom line for me: Bynum didn't play way above his head, he just had a statistical anomaly of a night while doing what he does. There doesn't seem to be any reason to think that he can't be just as good against them in the future, even if he never puts up 30 rebounds again in his career.
