Yet another reason I wouldn't mind seeing Memphis rape the out of Blair/Bonner and a past his prime Duncan. Maybe then, Pop will get it through his thick, pock-marked head that he needs to play the two best bigs on the squad together for meaningful minutes.

A Splitter/Duncan frontline with Blair's energy coming off the bench to beat the out of the opponent's second unit scrub bigs (the McMurphys, Collisons, etc) sounds damn good to me. Bonner should be a situational player at best, only coming in when a stretch 4 is absolutely needed.
You'd think. With Gary Neal playing today and Tony Allen apparently not, however, I'm not sure Pop is going to see the frontcourt as the problem unless this ends up being another embarrassing loss.

And yes, I agree. Blair is perfect coming off the bench.

hope blair gets manhandled so Diaw can move into the starting lineup.
    Tiago>Diaw>>>Blair

Tiago, to me, seems like someone who could score around 18-20/game when given minutes and the ball on about 60% shooting while grabbing you 8+ rebounds and getting a couple assists if he's played around 30 minutes a game.

He has no problems toughing it out in the paint and in Utah, Boston, LAL he played against physical bigs and scored baskets even when it seemed like most of our team couldn't. Due to age, that's something we can't expect Tim to do in the post-season normally. If he's also covering for Blair you can forget it.

When Splitter's defense is taken into account it becomes all the more obvious that his production is the type of stuff that wins you playoff games. He's not the answer by himself but he'd be enough to make sure our frontcourt wasn't a total liability in the post-season.

While better than Blair, Diaw is shorter, slower, and probably not as rugged at this stage. Without Splitter playing significant minutes the Spurs don't have a fighting chance against teams that defend/have height/are athletic even if they play Boris over Blair. That's just the truth.

    You had to keep posting.....

I didn't want to expose your bad logic and your lack of confidence but....

    1) Acting like going from $25 to $100 is some giant impressive leap and that it would make up for your lack of balls and confidence with women. Unless you date 8th graders who need money from their patents to eat at Chilis with their friends, $100 isn't something impressive.

    2) Not only that it illustrates more your lack of understanding of the situation. I exposed you as not confident in your own takes. When I took your man card by flipping the script you scrambled (and failed as I illustrated in #1) to try and gain an upperhand

    3) By doing so you exposed yourself again as a fraud and a terrible business man. If you truly believed "it's a bad business decision", then you look extra scared by not acceprong when I gave you the "good business decision". Losing out on free smart money (based on your original excuse) is a terrible business decision whether it's $25 or $100.

So you're either a liar (you don't believe your takes) or a pu$$ (afraid to bet).

    Choose wisely.

What an awful post and skewed perception of reality. Your entire basis of an argument is based on an utter failure to grasp the OP. I said "If the Spurs...," and you--being in the fragile emotional state that you're in right now--took offense to the possibility of another loss and tried to bait me into a stupid bet. Then, in your frustration of not getting me to accept your terms, you make a ham-handed, neutered counter-bet to make it look like you have a sac.

    These are facts.

Here's the killshot: What kinda money did you have in mind when you originally proposed the bet?

Don't insult everybody's intelligence by saying $25 either. You know damn well you were willing to bet at minimum one bill on the Spurs (with the possibility of going as high as five).

splitter never going to start as long as TD a spur. Diaw is not smaller than blair. Hes much better defensively, he can put the ball on floor and get to the rim, hes a playmaker and he spreads the floor. blair useless unless parker or manu can find him cutting to the basket.

ELE was originally fpoonsie, but Hoops Czar thought I didn't have much hope so I told him to throw his chips in too. I kind of threw the dice tbh, but I had a hunch LAL wouldn't throw away another game with Memphis and Clipshow on their ass.
