The Grizzlies super-awesome front line that was supposed to bully the Spurs ain't even doing . Just like the Lakers game, the Spurs can't stop on the perimeter. Gilbert Arenas 3-4 for 6 points, Mayo 3-5 for 8 points, Gay is going off. Just what the happened to Leonard and Jackson's defense?
Only positive from this game thus far is it makes the Lakers win look less impressive. The Spurs hit some kind of wall since that Utah game.
Good no-call...preview of playoff basketball imho
fixed again
You mean the chemistry is off after the big 3 were benched?
That makes no sense
Spurs need to start ing the Griz up. Don't take that on your home court.
Maybe. I don't know. The Spurs biggest matchup advantage all season has been their overall superiority on the perimeter. Now they can't score from the perimeter or stop anybody on the perimeter.
You've been goin' GNSF all over mother ers since last night.
no
ty mono stalker
I don't think they were ever able to stop people on the perimeter that well though. I think sometimes our smalls just get caught cheating which protects the inside somewhat but leaves the perimeter open.
I actually said Spurs should have no problem beating the Grizz.... GNSF is all scared about the matchups![]()
I think the main culprit might be Leonard. He went from emerging star to scrub overnight.
Duncan and Splitter are hanging with Memphis's towering, intimidating, King Kong of interior just fine. But letting Gilbert Arenas pour in a quick 6 points on 75% shooting off the bench isn't a winning recipe.
spurs are labouring to make the simplest of plays, clearly, they are still mind ed from last night's debacle, gnsf's need to put that razor away, there is still 2nd half to play, and looks like diaw might have given them some energy

Spurs saw ZBo walk in and shat their pants for 15 mins there... they need to look at Rudy Gay and feel reassured, tbh
Spurs are getting beat up on the boards again, although not nearly as bad as yesterday.
Z-bo still is a horrible mismatch for San Antonio (even though he hasn't taken many shots)--they had to switch Timmy on him for a couple plays after he immediately bodied Diaw
TOSB will get worn out if he has to cover Z-Bo. Grizz are just a nightmare matchup for them too, like a certain someone said.
English isn't your first language is it?
Too many clumsy players handling the ball. Get the ball to Tony, get to your spots, run your plays. The improv is killing us.
I don't even care now if the Spurs win this game. I thought after Bynum's rebound party last night, Pop would at least run with Splitter this game and see how he matches up with one of the better interiors in the league.
He's played 6 min. And the second he went out is when the Grizzlies made their run.
Terrible take, tbh. The alleged "mismatches" combined for a measly 13 points... Parker pretty much single-handedly offset that.
Bonner going 0-4 and Blair 1-3 and burning 18 mins is where the problem is.
