On the 2nd of a b2b, coming off an ass beating, the Spurs beat one of the best teams in the league. Looked like we were going to walk away with it early in the 4th but the Grizz came roaring back. They fight hard, that's why they are where they are in the playoff race. Despite struggles by individual players, the take away here is that the Spurs were not handed this game, they fought the Grizz and they fought the officiating and kept poise. The game got close and they showed why they are one of the best closing teams in the league. That close ending, I think, helps reunite the team and get them focused on what matters.

Not a statement game other than to say "we aren't done", but a quality win against a team no one wants to face.

Grizzlies are too gay centric.Another reason why Spurs match up well vs these Grizzlies.

What is the Spurs record in close games? They seem to win most of them.

The Grizz aren't what they were last year. I would honestly prefer 45 minutes of Rudy Gay to 15 minutes apiece of Sam Young, Battier, and Darrell Arthur.

This was TE kind of rebound games that they had in championship years.
Last year they lose this game.

Danny Green, Stephen Jackson, Leonard and Diaw coming in have changed that tide.

Yes but not against this quality of opponent, and with the kind of at ude and toughness.

It would've been a 119 110 win as opposed to holding the opposing team to 35 % shooting in the second half.

The Spurs regularly rebound after a big loss at home, however this was a b2b and against a team that has their number and who is positioned snugly in the Western conference playoff picture.

I wasn't worried about Tim, not a bit. I was worried about Manu. His game last night tells me he's in good health and that he's feeling more aggressive. He really turned it up in the 4th, just as Tim did in the 3rd (Tim was a beast).

Im not yet sold on Manu...I thought his play against LA was laughable at best...against teams with interior size he needs to stick to shooting 3's and setting up his younger teammates with his passing...Ive never been so frustrated watching him struggle to finish around the hoop..my only hope with him at this point is he stays healthy enough to even play in the postseason..everytime he goes to the hoop I worry that its going to be his last.

I think its obvious Manu cannot will himself to take over the game as he pleases anymore. The good news is that Manu is the best at taking advantage of letting the game come to him and with the Spurs still playing very unselfish basketball and being deeper than ever, I'm still confident Manu can be the X-Factor in the playoffs.

That said, Last night's game was ugly. Not only was it that, it didn't feel like a playoff game when I saw it. It was tough, it was physical at times, but I believe the Memphis Grizzlie's will play much more intesne and physical in the playoffs while having stepping up on D and O.

What made me soooo mad, was even after Lakers destroyed us, he plays Splitter 13 minutes. I am a big Splitter fan, so it's impossible for me to fully support Greg Popovich because he keeps sitting him. Popovich has done a lot of great things but I hate the guy whenever I see him keep sitting one of the best Centers in the leauge in his prime. NOT COOL POP!

More like Parker trying to give the game away. We probably win by twenty if Parker was left on the bench in the fourth

I'm holding out hope that he realizes that the team goes nowhere in the playoffs without him and has been pacing himself. I expect him to ramp up the intensity once the games start to matter for real. Unlike his coach, his track record has earned him that trust.

Probably, but it's more important to get Tony back to his game than to win that particular game by 20 (or win at all). We need Tony.
