Ugh. WTF. I was about to get on her and berate CubanSucks for being an insensitive prick. But this film is infuriating. Makes me want to say, " ing white people". I thought he would have at least been handicapped or something. Or overcome some sort of tragedy. All I see here is a kid who has to stay at his dad's workplace who seems to have a good time occupying himself. His dad probably makes a decent living... , he can afford to buy calculators just to tape to boxes. There is no doubt this wannabe filmmaker hadn't done in his life and was looking for something like this to exploit. Did you see his limpwristed shots at mini basketball? Probably a too. I was someone hoping the story was going to be about him abducting Caine and imprisoning him in a basement. But then Caine, ingeniously conceived and executed a brilliant escape plan based on his knowledge of physics, building, and boxes. Then he gets his Mexican friends to go back and wreak ing havoc on the gay perv filmmaker.
Not to mention every time I tried to skip ahead, the film started over.
bingo! Amateur film makers are the ing worst. Kony, anyone? What reason is there to give money to this kid?!!!! Because he's imaginative and resourceful? I don't know if it's in the film because I've seen enough about it on the news to avoid watching it, but when he talks about grown men crying because of this story it makes me want to vomit.

I'd like to propose an alternate ending to try to save this film. Everything stays the same up to the point Caine comes back from the pizza place. Caine steps out of the car, eyes wide in surprise. He gathers himself, pauses for effect, and tells everyone, "get the out of my arcade". Cue appropriately maudlin music...fade to black.
Why can't it just be about a little boy who got creative?

Before he even asked to film Caine and his arcade, I'm sure he had his end game already planned out.

I just Googled it to see what else is going on with the story. And like CubanSucks mentioned, there are numerous accounts of people crying over the story. Wtf China. What in the story is remotely sad? What tragedy is he overcoming? The tragedy of having to be at work with your parent in the summer? The real tragedy is the thousands of kids who's parents don't give a and are letting them run the streets while they are at work. So not only does Caine have the advantage of a dad that seems to care about him but now he gets his college paid for.
. Just wait until Ty Pennington and company jump on this bandwagon and rebuild his dad's store to include his own real arcade to manage.
Film makers pick all sorts of subjects to cover. So what? Sometimes people like their films, sometimes not. So what? Sometimes people are touched by a story and want to contribute somehow. So what? As long as you are not forced to watch or give away your money, why would you care? Some folks just have to have something to about....
