Wow, George! I guess I don't pay close enough attention (and, I know I don't because, frankly, I don't give a ) but, I would have never took you to be a ChumpDumper apologist.

    Sweet.
Wow you never stop making stuff up... which is what chump accuses you of... no need to defend him because he is a big boy but you and the cc's on the board routinely make things up and when called on it you attack the messenger...

Okay, just give me the latest example of something I've made up. Or, the one that is foremost in your memory.

Because, I don't recall ever being intentionally dishonest in this forum. Mistaken? Maybe. Just plain wrong in an opinion or characterization? Possibly. But, I don't recall ever intentionally lying about or fabricating anything.

And, ChumpDumper isn't on ignore because of his board arbiter status of holding me and others accountable. It's on ignore because of the incessant nipping at the heels. If it were the former, there'd be more of you on ignore.

I'm a big boy and can take someone disagreeing with me or even accusing me of being dishonest. No one should have to put up with ChumpDumperesque badgering. So, I choose not to.

But, back to the accusation, name something I've made up.

Conservatives feed the controversy around Al Sharpton that keeps him relevant. It's because he's so polarizing that he can get a hundred cameras in front of them for any press conference. If conservatives ignored him he'd lose 80% of his audience.

I don't remember any conservatives asking what Sharpton thought after the Trayvon Martin controversy hit the media.

And, unless you're going to claim MSNBC is a "conservative" network, I'm not sure your point is valid.

I would gladly ignore Sharpton if the liberal media would quit giving him air time...to the point he's quoted or referenced in damn near every story about Trayvon Martin.

    "conservatives asking what Sharpton"

conservative hate-media often ask non-conservatives about their thoughts?

“Check out this,” the flamboyant civil rights leader told me during breakfast at his organization’s annual meeting this week. He flipped through the program until he found a full-page ad with the logos of Fox News, the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. “News Corporation Proudly Supports National Action Network’s 2012 Convention,” it said.

Sharpton grinned. “They bash me on Fox News,” he said. “But they sponsor my conference.”

Right when I think Sharpton has chilled out, he goes back to panhandling again. Pretty disgusting tbh. Sharpton = old black dude that commands the attention of white people watching cable news but has no pull with modern black people cuz they know he's phony.

    Fixed:

(pundit name) = (politically charged adjective) (noun determining stereotypical demographic to be spoken for) that commands the attention of (demographic which is likely opposed to said stereotypical demographic) watching cable news but has no pull with (actual members of twice-said stereotypical demographic) cuz they know (he/she) is a phony.
Insert Pat Buchanan, Stephen A. Smith, Sean Penn, Ann Coulter, and anyone who makes a living being a pundit. The fact that this thread exists is Sharpton's job description.

I'm not certain any of the conservative pundits you list have been responsible for the loss of human lives or reputations on par with Al Sharpton.

Sorry, the moral equivalency ploy doesn't play here.

Name one of the conservatives, in your list, that can claim achievements like the Freddie's Fashion Mart arson; the Crown Heights riots; the Tawana Brawley fabrication; etc...

You can't. Al Sharpton is a unique s bag.

Neither does your strawman. To imply Sharpton was responsible for the events you listed is to ignore his actual role, which was to personally capitalize on events that were already in motion. Which sounds just like any other pundit, in form if not always in scale.

BTW -- all the pundits I mentioned are s bags.

    Seriously?

Freddie's Fashion Mart? Sharpton organized and led the protests from which one of their ranks emerged, set fire to the building, and killed 7 innocent people.

He and Tawana Brawley fabricated the whole story. He didn't capitalize on that, it would have never happened had he not been involved.

He roused the rabble, he didn't incite the rabble to burn a building down. You also agree with Clinton blaming Rush Limbaugh for the OKC bombings?

Nope, I've heard nothing that says Timothy McVeigh was influenced by listening to Rush Limbaugh.

You can't claim the same on the guy that marched with Al Sharpton leading the way.

If I can't, then why is Sharpton not in prison?

Do you know if McVeigh ever claimed to have been driven by some far right-wing rhetoric spoken by Rush Limbaugh? Because, I know the murderer at Freddie's Fashion Mart was reacting to rhetoric spoken by Al Sharpton.

If I can't, then why is Sharpton not in prison?
Beats me? Probably the same reason Maxine Waters isn't in prison for stoking the fires of the Los Angeles riots and Malik Shabazz isn't under arrest for placing a bounty on George Zimmerman's head. They enjoy some political correctness immunity.

But, honestly, I have no idea why he isn't in jail.

Your feelings are and have been clear, but your argument seems to rely on those feelings instead of any legitimate facts.

And the political-correctness immunity routine is so tired, man -- give it a rest, why don't you? McVeigh explicitly acted out events in the Turner Diaries, by a white piece of named William Pierce. Was Pierce protected from liability for OKC by his PC immunity, or do we just happen to value the notion of free will in this country?
