To be a number one seed and lose in the first round of the playoffs two years in a row.
So they should def tank tomorrow night to avoid the 1 seed, right?
Actually there's no plan associated with this. The thought just suddenly occurred to me. I normally ignore the impulse to start a thread.![]()
Spurs will play Dallas, Houston, or Phoenix in the first round. Spurs will beat all three.
Just putting the jinx out there. My work is done.
Somewhere, deep down, every person who reads it is having the thought, " ... it could happen." They may not admit it, but it's there.
Thanks for overcoming your reluctance to start threads, for that gem.![]()
Too bad you didn't stick with your normal ignorance...
son the spurs will face the suns in 1st round and clippers in 2nd round finally beat the thunder in 3rd round to complete the west.
LOL that can't possibly be real.
I'd rather see the trend as: if OKC gets #1, it will be the first time ever that first seeds get eliminated in the first round in consecutive years.
Dallas next game is against 9th seeded Houston. If Houston win there is a 3 way tie for the 7th and 8th seeds and one of Houston Dallas or Phoenix will miss the playoffs. In summary...
Mav's with a real shot to miss the playoffs. Unlikely but would be very funny if it occurs.
We have either 1st or 2nd locked up in the west. 7th and 8th seeds are wide open. We could face any of Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, Houston or Utah in the first round. We might not know til the last game of the season who we will play. Either way, every round of the west playoffs will be pretty tough.
yes pho, uth or hou please
Dallas would be the only problem in the 1st round ... never underestimate the current champions. But after the first round I do not see easy matchups. Even the Clippers play very good basketball right now ... its always better to avoid the Lakers but somehow I also want us to play and beat them ...
I almost didn't bother clicking on this thread but now I'm glad I did.![]()
This year is a very fluid situation.
For those looking to create a magical iteration good luck.
This cannot happen cause the spurs team that lost to memphis was not the same team that earned the#1 as manu had a broken arm.
yes please
I admit it...![]()
This would be the crowning achievement of the Matt Bonner era, and well-deserved.
Being first they automatically are the only team? I like that logic. Might as well say the last team as well...
