A Spurs win draws them closer to a 1-4 matchup tho.
The funny thing is SA has nothing to gain from resting their stars. A Lakers win draws them closer to a 2-3 matchup.
A Spurs win draws them closer to a 1-4 matchup tho.
True, although sitting in the top seed allows the Spurs to dictate their playoff route a little easier. It's easier to tank games when necessary than win games.
Agreed that they should play for the top seed.
But it's prob easier to win than to tank games against teams like GS who are in full tank mode and can also throw RJ out there.
Plus I'd rather have the lakers play Memphis in the first round in a 4/5 matchup if we are gonna play them in the 2nd round anyways.
you guys are thinking way too much into this.
Resting players on back-back >>>> any other "potential" "fantasy" scenario.
Now since they didn't play much yesterday, I would not be surprised to see them play today. But Pop will still try get them some rest today and won't give 2 s about the scoreboard.
The Lakers are 2 games up on the Clips by virtue of tiebreaker with only 5 to go. Resting your big 3--especially when they didn't get much work the night before AND they are mind ed by the Lakers--is a losing, quitting move.
Nobody takes anything you say seriously, and no...it's not just because of your Mexican heritage.
the best thing about this Laker's Jeremy Lin story is it got all these laker roaches out of their holes just in time for a playoff beatdown

Oh I agree. Just stating that a win would theoretically put them closer to a 1-4 matchup. Lakers have two games left after tonight against SA & OKC so it's not outta the question they lose the 3 seed to the Clippers. IIRC, sacramento played them pretty tough towards the end of last year too even when they were in tank mode.
I personally want the Big 3 to play tonight but i just think Pop rests them. And it'd be a pussy move, imo.
This game could go in every possible direction. Spurs play full roster and loss. Full roster and win. Full roster and blowout. Full roster and blown out. Also possible resting big 3. Nobody knows.
Well thanks for that
I'm pretty scared of LA. Any honest Spurs fan will tell you that they probably can't beat them in a 7 game series unless a miracle happened.
Well I know one thing..I'm pretty sure the Spurs big 3 won't have shooting problems like they did last time. Hope the Lakers win...but nothing will surprise me tonight tbh.
Lakers+Kobe=lose the game
Lakers-Kobe=win the game
I'm sure Pop will be worried about perception.![]()
DOK - bball IQ = Wanggi ...
He should be. The perception last year was that the Spurs were soft, which is why Memphis tanked to get them.
The Lakers proved SA is still soft. If you're any of the bottom seeds and you had your choice of LA, SA, or OKC in the first round, who would you want to play?
Give me the Spurs, please.
still talking last year
relying on a fluke game to draw conclusions
Pop caring about perceptions
^
A week later and still in damage control mode. That loss has done irreparable harm to your psyche.
I think it's safe to say there was domestic violence in the Nono household det night![]()
The Spurs have a 50/50 chance of winning this game.
vicariously living through a fluke
can't stop posting how scared you are
fake bravado after calling your team an "abortion"
too afraid to bet for you team
Nono, why does Tim Duncan look like a when playing the Lakers?
LOL lakerfan obsessed with beating the Spurs. what a pathetic life lakerfan must have
