One player almost out-rebounded your entire team...what would you call that?
I would call that the beginning of....a "deadly dynasty" by Bynum.

I'll fear the massive frontline when they get enough touches, aka, when Kobe retires

Heck, if Artest doesn't drop his fluke 26 points, it's anybody's game.
Once again, your only reasoning for the Spurs winning is that a notorious Spur-killer will do the work for you.

    That's a great take

    Fluke

How many 30 rebound games Drew had this season?
The same amount of times he's faced Duncan this season

How does the stomping by Lakers show the Spurs are still soft DD?

It was just that, a stomping. Are we really too take anything other then the Spurs got throughly ed that night?

Spurs still got some frontcourt problems yes, but are far better then last year so I dont think soft is the word you want to use in this instance.
Man, don't you know DD's posts come with a disclaimer "for entertainment purposes only". You shouldn't take anything he says seriously, not even when he pretends to call the Lakers non-contenders.

Is Duncan looking like a complete against the Lakers a fluke, or a trend?

He turns into Kate Faber when he sees Purple and Gold

This is true. And it's been a trend since last season.

But this season we haven't depended on him as much. The worst part about last game was Tony rolling into fetal position.

When your bigs shoot a combined 16-44 but still dominate the opponent, that opponent is soft.

Getting outrebounded 30-2 is not soft. I don't even think there's a word for that
Sir, that's having an awful night.

Besides that night, has that happened again or prior? Spurs have beaten the Thunder, Clippers and Memphis handily. All playoffs contender this year. What do you call that? Luck wins? lol get real DD.

Would you bet on the Spurs to beat the Lakers over a 7 game series?

    Would ElNono?

Tim finally scores double digits for the first time in years against the lakers and Bynum outrebounds him 30-2

that Lakers game was the worst Tim Duncan showing ever and it's best if every spurfan buries the memory of its existence for all time

I probably will if it's in the first two rounds. Already stated that should they get to the WCF, they're probably going to be too tired to beat whoever gets there with them.

I would have say yes with complete confidence a month ago. Not so sure now.

But that's not what's been discussed is it? Dont be changing subject now.

TD was a great, but he-along with the rest of that team--can be bullied. You can smack the Spurs around and they won't get back up. TP has always been that way. Lakers used to beat the out of him during the playoffs and it would wear him out. We all Ginobili can't take contact anymore either

    Was my sarcasm too subtle?

On a serious note, If elnono is so confident in the spurs chances vs the Lakers in the playoffs, I'd be willing to take as much action on that as he wants.

That's what it comes down to on this forum, and what's always the subject. Spurs vs Lakers. Which team will beat the other?

I can say with complete confidence that the Lakers would beat the Spurs in a series (and have already bet $550 on it with some unfortunate souls on here).

It's not homerism, it's just an understanding of playoff basketball. I wouldn't bet the Lakers to beat OKC or Miami though.

Plus DD should appreciate my stance, since if I would go with the "Spurs are scurried of the Lakers" schtick, I would just be one more of the greys upstairs, and he would have to ask Slomo to delete his account like last season
