Sean Cunningham: No Tim Duncan tonight for the San Antonio Spurs who wrap up a back-to-back-to-back set in Sacramento tonight #nbakings #Spurs 1 minute ago
McDonald out scooped yet again by someone from another team.
If Tony and Manu are playing, they should be able to pull out the victory.

Spurs vying to become first team to sweep pair of back-to-back-to-backs this season.
Tim Duncan is the only player out tonight for the Spurs tonight in SAC. Boris Diaw and DeJuan Blair will be the starting front court.
Why can't Splitter start?
Surprised that Manu is playing.
I thought Tony and Manu would sit. Oh well, gives us a chance to continue our win streak.
Hopefully this is just a repeat of the Warriors game so Tony and Manu can sit in the 2nd half, but this may be a tough game.
Gotta put this one away early! Young teams become disinterested quickly.
I love this. Pop going for the win. Maybe he's just snowing the media and HCA matters to him after all? Besides, the last two times we sat all three, it halted momentum and the team took a while to recover (witness the pasting the Lakers gave us after we lost to Utah).
Keep the momentum going, try to win every game, get HCA over Miami.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich can be one of the best quotes in the biz when he wants to be, & today was one of those days. He deemed this the best season yet for PG Tony Parker: "This is his best year. At the offensive end, he's always been able to score. But he's also distributed the ball better than he ever has before and involved other people, so he's done both...At the same time, he's played his best year of defense and his leadership and understanding on the court are his best thus far."
So much for getting help from the Raptors against a Wade-less, Bosh-less Heat. Oh well, if the Spurs, Suns, Lakers and Nuggets all win, it'd still be a great night.
oddly this is a game Spurs really need to win so they can have a lead big enough to strategically throw games in the name of resting players.
McDonald...
TP and Manu playing? I like it. Keep going for the W's....![]()
Dunno if i like Manu playing tonight. I thought we coulda won with just TP playing. But oh well, lets put it away early.
Keep in mind the Kings nearly beat the Spurs at full strength a few weeks ago, and did beat the Spurs at the AT&T center. They are a matchup issue, and on 3 days of rest to boot. This very well could be a loss even with TP and Manu playing.
I'm actually okay with Manu playing. He still doesn't seem to quite be back at 100%...not sure if he's just coasting, not quite in playing shape, or just getting old. However, as long as he can stay healthy, he could probably use the run to try to find his rhythm.
Unless Tony can play nearly flawless basketball like he did last night every game in the playoffs, I'm not sure how far the Spurs will be able to go with Manu not playing like Manu.
Help me out here. We want the Clips to lose right?
I think Manu's been settling a lot for 3s since his last return from injury, particularly against scrub teams. Prob by design in an effort to minimize the injury risk. He went hard to the rim against LA and Memphis so I think it's just a matter of him saving it for the playoffs.
I think that this is why both Tony and Manu are playing. Because there are a couple of other games that we might really have trouble with and may lose even if they try to avoid losing.
So we need this tonight.
Yes. Keep the Lakers in that 3 seed with the Spurs maintaining the 1 seed.
Clipper loss and a laker win pretty much seals the deal for the lakers getting the 3rd.
You should be rooting for the Spurs/PHX/Lakers/Denver to win tonight
