Postgame video from Kobe Bryant and Mike Brown -

So true.
Thanks. I can't stand the guy (or his team) but Kobe's a really smart guy. Just listening to the way he breaks down the game and everything...he just really knows what he's talking about. That's a guy who I would love to see become an analyst or something one day.
No question Kobe understands the game really well. I actually felt like he was throwing subtle jabs at Mike Brown's lack of making proper adjustments after the blowout loss last Friday.
Listen to his interview again - he lauded Popovich for making proper adjustments offensively and stressed the fact that the Lakers needed to make adjustments after game 2. It's very subtle but you have to wonder about how much Kobe really trusts Mike Brown at this point.
Brown tried to blow it off as though he already has a number of hypothetical adjustments in his head that he could throw out against us, but when you lose consecutively by 20+ points, it's difficult to take him at his word.
Well here's to hoping Brown is simply a plant to derail the Lakers for our gain.
Who's Bynum?
I was laughing when I first heard that they'd hired him but after seeing him in action I'm starting to feel kind of bad for the players. It must be really difficult to go from Phil Jackson to Mike Brown in one year. In fact I'd say the Lakers were coached much better when Kobe was on the sidelines.
I noticed the jabs at Brown as well and even during this game I thought that the Lakers could've made some adjustments to make things more compe ive (not that I'm complaining).
Sessions/Blake were terrible at defending the pick and roll and Bynum/Gasol were really not much better. I thought they could've countered that a little bit by sending someone else for either side.
Also, I'm not sure why they didn't try to force a switch when it became clear that Gasol was running into problems. Bynum can't handle swarming D so it would've made sense to try and free up Pau a little bit so that he could initiate from the high post on a few plays since their point guards really aren't the best and Gasol's generally a good passer. I kept expecting an adjustment of some sort but it never really came...Really wasn't expecting to blow the Lakers out.
In any case, I get the general impression that Brown lacks authority and know-how when it comes to the game. His "hypothetical adjustments" probably involve breaking into Pop's office and stealing his playbooks before the bus leaves. And at that I'll bet he'll need Kobe and Messina's help in applying it.![]()
Duncan says he likes playing next to Splitter and having some size in there with him.

Exactly why the Lakers will fail when it matters most. Their coach just isnt worth a damn. We saw what happened in Cleveland, and it will happen in L.A too. Mike Brown (for as much credit as he gets for being a defensive wizard) is a good (not great) coach and just seems clueless when it comes to making the proper adjustments in order to win the big series. There's a reason why Kobe had the clipboard and was drawing up plays when he was out....

Thanks for posting the links to the vids. We haven't had anyone do this for several games and I, for one, was really missing them.
I have seen games where Brown's assistant grabs the white board and everyone gathers round him. Both for defense and offensive set plays at the end of games. It may be no big deal, but it does not look so good. Its almost like the assistant is all excited, "I got an idea, here is what we will do..."
If he could sometimes implement his own thoughts. Those first half fade aways were just bad. Those are just tough shots that he thinks they have to take? Nothing better available?
Is this a joke? I sincerely can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Should've used the blue font, tbh.
In the .01% chance that you're actually...not joking..you know every postgame video is readily available on nba.com/spurs right?
