In what would be an amazing thing after leading all season - Kobe Bryant might still lose the scoring le that seems to matter so, so much to him. From the current stats he is at 27.9 ppg, Durant has quietly raised his 27.8 ppg while the leagues top gunner was out. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics
(This is despite Durant shooting about 19 FGs per season vs. 23 for Bryant - Durant is still way behind him in FG attempts as Durant shoots over 50% while Kobe is around 43%.)
Knowing he must shoot much more to keep up with the more efficient (and better) Durant, expect Bryant to lay it all on the line Sunday when the LAL get beat by the Thunder with a barrage of shots as he ignores his front line!
Surely he cannot lose the le that really matters to him this year, i.e., the scoring le?

Kobe's scoring le is no longer an honor when he just keeps shooting for his own goal.
He knows that NBA le this season is merely a minor hope for him so he needs that scoring le to juice his vanity and ego when someday he looks back on his career .
Most of NBA players can be a scoring leader if the teammates let them keep shooting in each game, indeed.
Let the vanity go, Kobe. Learn how to do team work and show some respect to coach and teammates whether you can get NBA/scoring le or not.
is the scoring le based on average points or the overall amount of points scored? cuz durant has a sizable lead over kobe in points overall.

When Iverson "ballhoged" to get scoring les he at least averaged more than 30 ppg.
kobe will go for 30+ against OKC regardless if he shoots 9/32 and he'll definitely try to go for 40 against Sacramento.
In OKC, he's going to struggle to keep up with Westbrook's attempts.

It'll be like the 2011 ASG where Kobe said he didn't care and then ball hogged and took 26 shots. Nobody wanted to see his lame ass fadeaways and dunks but that's what we got because he got his feelings hurt it was Blake's weekend.
