There's no way to know what the league will do in terms of number of games. Sometimes they get it right and sometimes their decisions make no sense.

Nah, I think 5 is max, like you said. Bynum's was given out after the Lakers were bounced from the playoffs, so the league had little to lose revenue-wise. The league won't go out of their way to hurt one of the biggest markets they have. All else fails, they'll have most of his suspended games occur next season.
tbh artest should be given an indefinite suspension until he goes through some kind of professional help...its one thing to play hard and dirty and another to go after someone's head...one good whack to the side of the head and harden could've been eating through a straw for the rest of his life...but this is stern were talking about and the lakers...if this were roger goodell...world peace would be joining the saints front office and coaching staff on their year long vacay
