And he should in my opinion. In theory I think Diaw would be okay guarding Randolph although since it looks like Z-Bo's coming off the bench it might be a moot point anyway.

But yeah, other than LAL I love what Diaw brings to the starting line-up.

Diaw actually did pretty damn good guarding Pau the last two games they played the Lakers. Wouldn't be a travesty at all if he started with Duncan, but Splitter/Duncan starting together would be best.

Actually I like what Pop did with starting Splitter in the 1st half, and Diaw in the 2nd half against the Lakers. With two long and skillful 7-footer, it's a battle for both Splitter and Diaw. So making play as hard as possible during the first 6 minutes in each half respectively is extremely important.

Because KB will take over the shots after that (For better, or for worse), not letting their big men getting into a rhythm at the beginning would pay off for us.

Exactly. Plus the differences in Diaw/Splitter's playing styles would, I should think, be difficult for Gasol to adjust to when they're moving in and out of the line-up like that. It also frees up Tim to do his thing so there's that benefit to it.

I've wanted Boris on the Spurs for a long time, I'm so happy to see he's a perfect fit so far. Hope he keeps it up in the playoffs and the Spurs are able to bring him back next season.

No doubt, Boris has been spectacular for the most part. His weakness is when teams get physical down low, lean on him, crowd him, and force him into low percentage plays. It isn't easy to do, but a well-coached squad can expose him if they try hard enough. The question then becomes: what are they giving up? And if the wings and bench continue to knock down the open looks, it is a moot point. The thing to keep an eye out for is if the ball movement stops. So far, Diaw has been brilliant, but that's not to say he doesn't have weaknesses.

What I like about Diaw is he helps the ball movement and that prevents the defense from loading up.
