I call the Ewing Theory on Jefferson.
The Spurs are 20-3 .870 (losing to Dallas, Utah and LAL. The Utah loss was without big 3. In the Dallas loss, Diaw and Mills had not joined the team, yet.)
In those 23 games:
Their point differential is +12.7
They are averaging 108.83 PPG (2503 total points)
They are allowing 96.13 PPG (2211 total points)
In the 41 games before the trade:
Their point differential was +4.17
They were averaging 100.51 PPG (4121 total points)
They were allowing 96.34 PPG (3950 total points)
In the 23 games since the trade:
They have increased their point differential by +8.53
They have increased their scoring by 8.32 PPG
They have decreased their opponents scoring by -0.21 PPG

I call the Ewing Theory on Jefferson.
Spurs are also second in PPG, 1st in FG% and 1st in 3P%.
Hey Venti, been meaning to ask....
Was that Ronaldo sig a bet?
What game was that one on?
yes I lost to ElNono in the sig bet for the LA-SA season series. Maybe I should put a link about where the sig originated so people are going to stop asking. lol
Jefferson just sucked the soul out of this team. I still cannot believe the Warriors were stupid enough to make that trade. Then again, they were stupid enough to win on Sunday and completely blow their chances of having a first round pick, so at least they're consistently moronic.
Since the Jefferson trade, Spurs record vs playoff contenders:
PHX 2-0
OKC 1-0
MEM 1-0
PHI 1-0
IND 1-0
BOS 1-0
LAL 2-1
DAL 1-1
UTA 1-1
That's not part of the sig tbh; you think I'd let DD put some garbage like that in his?
The times of bad match-ups are over![]()
I was expecting for him to pull something basketball related, but as soccer fans, I also didn't discount the possibility of this happening. He did the latter. Then Real proceeded to skunk Barcelona at Camp Nou. My weekend was completely destroyed.
I want to know what their team assist per game before and after
Since the Jefferson trade, Spurs Point Differential vs playoff contenders:
+7.93
Not that Hollingers rankings mean much.... but by his stats, spurs rank over the next closest team (the Thunder) by almost 2 full points. 1.785 as of this posting to be exact.
I never put much into his stats but it is interesting if you look at the rest of his power rankings... If you look from the Thunder on down (2 vs 3, 3 vs 4, 4 vs 5 ect), they are barely seperated by 1 point from their next closest ranked opponent.....
If you go strictly by Hollinger stats, 1 thru 4 are clearly a cut above the rest.
1) Spurs 109.116
2) Thunder 107.331
3) Bulls 106.277
4) Heat 105.706
5) Celtics 104.216
6) Knicks 104.122
7) Clippers 103.307
8) 76rs 103.165
9) Pacers 103.006
10) Hawks 102.900
11) Grizzlies 102.439
12) Nuggets 102.318
13) Jazz 102.041
14) Suns 101.857
15) Mavs 101.656

Decreased opponent scoring by 0.21 ppg ??
How is that even statistically significant ??
its not until you run the number over the course of an entire season. Its only been 23 games since we got rid of Jefferson and that equates to 17 points more in the Spurs favor over that time. If it where a full 82 game season, and if the stat held true, that would swing roughly 53 points in the Spurs favor over the entire season.
May not seem like much, and its all just math that doesnt include other factors, but regardless of that, the numbers obviously suggest we are better without RJ.

Who is this Jefferson you speak of?
563 total assists in 23 games since the Jefferson trade =24.48 APG
In the 41 games prior to the trade, the Spurs were averaging 22.32 APG (915 total assists). That's an increase of 2.16 APG which is a fairly stout bump

It means that while some say the Spurs uptempo style is like the PHX Suns style from prior years..."good for the regular season not for the playoffs"...the more the Suns scored the more their opponents followed suit. Not the case with the Spurs. They've actually increased their scoring +8.32 and decreased their opponents scoring -0.21 since the trade.
You are so ing gay..
