I doubt mchale got suspended, bynum got 2 and 4 for worse hits.

the best part of this is how after Rambis' initial reaction, he immediately calms down. Larry Bird calmly helps him up, and you can see Rambis and McHale interact right after that, with no problems. No racist, but all the white guys keep their cool.

the big scrum going on afterwards is with all the blacks on both sides trying to keep it real.

not really. common sense. if you really think about it and know your history. 6 games is unprecedented even for dirty players.

also there are various levels of hits on players. in order of gravity
1. any hit resulting in major injury or death
2. punches thrown
3. head/upper shot while victim in the air ( s' specialty)
4. major hit to the head (metta falls in this category)
5. minor hit to the head

4-6 games would have been ideal. Stern just didn't wanna miss another opportunity to on the lakers

Going into the stands and throwing punches at fans as basically the worst possible thing you can do to get on a commissioner's list. After that happens, you should never expect the benefit of the doubt again with suspensions/fines/etc. for altercations.
