This is very true. The best Barcelona team in the Guardiola era for me was the 2008/2009 who won it all playing 4 3 3 with Messi, Etoo and Henry at the front.

Then after failing to convert a pure striker like Ibra to play in the wing this team became too much midfield oriented, too much influence from Xavi and Iniesta, too much passing, too low fire-power besides Messi. That's what turn me off from this team.

It was not Barcelona's fault. Ronaldinho became a lazy bag and needed to go.

They need Villa and one striker more. I look at Neymar, but it's hard to envision him as a third banana behind Messi and Villa. They should get strong at the back line too. Tttenham are collapsing beyond belief and they could easily lure Gareth Bale to Barcelona, in addition to Jordi Alba.

They also need to return to 4-3-3. I love Pep as a coach but he is re ed for using 3-4-3 in big games.

Jordi Alba isn't exactly a defensive Juggernaut though. That would be just another example of Barca finding a way to squeeze another midfielder on to the pitch. You already have Alves who is going to spend most of his time going forward. I don't think having another fullback with that mentality is what you need.
