What is with black mothers and these stupid ing names they come up with
Given that her son is borderline re ed and would be a top 10 pick if not for his reputation as a dumb, dirty spear chucker, she's probably not too smart herself.
The one part of that article that stuck out to me as something other than, "Big dumb black kid overcomes a fatherless childhood, a crack mother and an incredibly limited brain to make the NFL," is how re ed it is to use the 40 time as a measure for middle linebackers. The same thing happened with Brandon es where all signs pointed to him being a 1st round talent except for a 40 time.
Another board calls him Vontaze Barfight. It's pretty fitting. If you want an overweight athlete whose only motivation is the borderline hit that devastates and more often than not draws a flag, then Vontaze is your LB. If you want any instincts, understanding of situation, or coverage and schematic skills, you should look elsewhere.

Not shocking.
I've never understood how dumb/addicted one must be to take drugs within a known window of a known mandatory drug test.
yea I'm with you, jmark. I thought he turned over a new life and was trying to better himself. If being drafted in the NFL isn't enough motivation to stop using I don't know it is. I have no sympathy for this brotha.
I could care less if he actually stopped or not. Just stop long enough to come out clean like 50% or more of those who took the same tests at the same time as you did.
He was a physical freak, and he let himself get fat. Then he was a ballhawk, only he let himself get preoccupied with making the devastating hit that often drew penalties. Next he was all cleaned up, only he fails the known drug test.
Guy just is all sorts of messed up. His support system has really failed him.

Chances are his mom was doing the same drugs he was (and eating the same food he's been eating)

Burfict is a trainwreck. It would take a real organization to salvage anything from his promise of potential, and, I'm just not sure a real organization wants the headache.
Steelers make a ton of sense.

Burfict says he knows Mayock is just doing his job, but he also wants Mayock to know that his comments stung.
“If I could talk to him, I would ask him why is he being so hurtful to a young man and trying to trash me,” Burfict told Aaron Wilson of Scout.com. “I think about what he said with every rep that I do in the weight room. I use the criticism as motivation, but I like Mayock. I have a lot of respect for him. I would just ask him to be fair.”
