What is the purpose of sending them on a plane to cities where they won't be playing? Why not let the Big Three stay home in San Antonio and avoid the travel fatigue?

They traveled yesterday before the Phoenix-Utah game. Pop indicated that he would have treated the game differently if it had playoff implications.

I see, but the 1# seed was already locked up at the time.

If the Bulls would have lost to the Pacers earlier today, and if whatever weirdness sent Pop+3 back to SA didn't occur (assuming they're two separate issues), that would have been the scenario in which the big 3 would have played.

Spurs assistant coach Mike Budenholzer gets to do the head coach thing tonight with his parents in the stands in Phoenix.
Great move. That's how one builds confidence and loyalty. His parents must have been proud.

Thats what I do not understand. He gave Utah one victory by resting the Big Three ... he should have given Phoenix the same opportunity even if the game had playoff implications.

Well ... Spurs won so ...

No, they would have played only if Phoenix knocked off Utah. The Spurs were never interested in home court throughout.

    That makes even less sense.
