As a lurker, I have to wonder what the point of this thread is if not to try to incite a panic. Claim: TP is injured. Corroboration? Trust me, I was right on a similar claim 10 years ago. Ok. Severity? No details. Prognosis for recovery by Game 1? Radio silence.
What are we as fans supposed to do with this claim presented to us? It seems the only thing to do is grind our teeth and add speculative replies to this thread, while searching here and elsewhere on the web for *anything* that confirms or denies this. I just don't understand what CC is trying to accomplish here.

Fine, understood that you can't give up the source. How about something far less general than "hurt shoulder"? We talking won't play because of it, out some time, out for good, needs surgery but can play, will limit, what? No one gives a about the source, but if you are going to throw that out there you need to lay it out better than that. "Hurt shoulder" leaves us basically nowhere. Take the extra step, please.

If you didn't know about the 2000's scoop fine but chill out a bit.
TP may be playing in game 1, even have a good game, but that doesn't mean anything. If you have been a Spurs' fan for more than 5-7 years, it should be very clear that the Spurs' organization is super secretive about health related issues. For a very recent example, look no further than last year's playoffs. I guess very few people knew at the time that Manu played with a fractured arm. He played very good (probably the best Spurs), so you couldn't have inferred his injury based on his level of play.
For now we just need a second source and more info about the severity of the alleged injury.
Another thought: assuming for the sake of argument this is valid, then the team obviously doesn't want it leaked. You can't find a word of it outside of this site. There's got to be a very small population of people that know the real truth. How happy is Pop & co. going to be that it's been divulged if true? You think they won't be able to deduce who the source is?
Just another thing that has me wondering what the goal of this exercise is. Disinformation campaign, perhaps to fool Utah? That's a bit too CIA even for Pop. It just doesn't make any sense at all.

If its true, then why do all 3 go back? If if were Pop and Tony I would understand and be more concerned but all 4 going back b/c Tony injured his shoulder doesn't make any sense.

Pretty clear that the only reason to start the thread is to be able to go "told ya so" if the news actually proves to be true and not meant to provide any real "inside info".
Sorry, but all I know is that he jumped a Southwest flight yesterday at the last second after practice and flew back to see Schmidt because his shoulder was hurt. At the time they did not know the extent of the injury. Don't know any updates.
