so the priest blessing the house didn't work?
I guess I should have mentioned earlier that when things happened in our house, it usually served as a precursor to something bad happening. Activity started, a week later, wife miscarried. More activity, my grandfather passed away 4 days later. Something flew off our table, wife's grandfather diagnosed with brain cancer (1 month after my grandfather passed away). More activity, her grandfather passes away from brain cancer. For a while there, there was something bad happening after activity picked up in the house.
so the priest blessing the house didn't work?
Can't say that. Could have been messages that something was about to happen. Not necessarily something evil. Just life.
If you aren't sure if they were messages or not, they probably weren't.
Ok, so they probably weren't messages.
Probably weren't ghosts either.
Imo.
Ok, maybe they weren't.
Right. The chair sat into itself and the cord to the lamp decided to pull itself.
Ghosts have nothing better to do than throw dishes, pull lamps, and ring doorbells.
People who believe in ghosts.
Have any of you caught orbs on camera?
I have, but I mostly always just chalk that up to dust or an insect of some sort. Now, I if I caught one on video, that might be different. But I don't take much from an orb on a still shot
Thanks for the research
No sweat.![]()
What is funny is that the empericists and skeptics in here have neither criticisms that are founded upon emperical study nor wait to come to conclusions before having sufficient knowledge to do so.
No, I don't claim to know anything about protocol. Really, it's just been movies and stuff. But movies also say "Ouija Bad". But I don't think the board itself is bad. But just like you said, users don't really know what they are doing. I mean, you can give anyone a scalpel but that doesn't mean you want them to operate on you.
I'll probably spend some time researching it more. I'd really like to delve into what tribes thought about ghosts or if they ever encountered them at all. If someone had never heard of the concept of "ghost", I wonder if they would every experience them.
Sleep = good. I'd like to hear your take on it though. Those "weird" things are always happening to me. When I was little, my mom gave me this book called, "A Wrinkle in Time". Great book for a kid. She gave it to me for my 10th birthday and said her mom had given it to her on her 10th birthday. Here's the weird part...my mom turned 10 in 1949. THIRTEEN YEARS BEFORE THE BOOK WAS FIRST PUBLISHED!!!
No, the funny thing is that people seriously believe that specters exist, and they do stupid, pointless crap like throwing dishes and ringing door bells.
I do too, for the most part. It happened to me once, that I believe it could not have been a speck of dust or an insect.
You don't have sufficient knowledge to make that conclusion.
I was at NIOSA and took a photo at the Arneson Theater. Orbs all over that picture.![]()
Why do you say that?
You don't know enough about the skeptics that have posted in this thread to make such an asinine conclusion.
I know enough to know that neither you nor scientists have conducted experiments as to nature of any the "ghost" stories told in this thread. Given that, there is a lot of irony in this thread coming from the skeptics.
What a re .
thinking that these claims of ghosts need to be investigated before expressing skepticism.
