Not that I remember.
Not trying to find another reason to worry but does anybody have any clue what "personal issue" Pop has that would have taken him away from a game, no matter how meaningless those games are? I'm a bit concerned that it could be something that would cause a distraction heading into the playoffs. Being all the way up here in Washington state I thought that you lucky folks in San Antonio might have some inside information.
I remember at least one time that Bud coached without Pop.
I think Pop was really really sick that day, but I remember it too, several years ago - I want to say 2008-2009 season
probably wants to be there for tony's surgery.
I don't see it as a good sign. Pop is the kind of guy that shows up to work even 1/2 of his family has been killed the night before.
Either rats broke in his wine cellar or somethings really up![]()
That's what I'm saying. What's up?
I have no doubts that Pop's perfectly legit "personal issue" coincided accidentally with a don't-care game (or two).
this profile is definitely worth following haha. His tweets are awesome!
Gregory Popovich @FakeCoachPop
Manu, Tim and Tony all threw reckless elbows on the plane to Phoenix. Therefore I'm sitting them next 2 games.
Pop has word his newest shipment of Chateau Haut Brion Pessac-Lognan 1982 arrived, looked at PHX and GS and said " these clowns, time to get my drink on."
For whatever it's worth, the E-N says that this is the first time that Mike Budenholzer has coached a regular season game from beginning to end without Pop. I know that Pop has missed preseason games in the past, but I don't immediately recall him missing a regular season game.
Did Pop missed any games when he had that basal cell carcinoma removed?
90%+ chance that the only reason Pop bothered to do this is to get a head start on scouting out and breaking down Utah Jazz film.
No, he just showed up with a bandage on his face.
He wouldn't do that.
Any news of wine conventions in town?
I think they (big 3) had a birthday party for Tim and Pop wanted to be there.
He could be talking to NY as well, about the 50 million dollar coaching position that Phil is rumored to have been offered. Pop would be a highly sought after coach after this season as well, and if Tim retires, Pop might look for a different challenge and he's stated he loves NY.
They've been partying hard for Duncan's birthday..
Now it's time to sober up for Sunday..
