That's maturity. That's leadership on display. A few years ago he might have gone after the scoring le (and he damn sure would have got it, probably would have tonight too.) but now? He's letting the whole world but more importantly his teammates know where their heads need to be. All the distractions with the MWP story going on this is exactly what the Lakers needed, for their captain to step up and show the media that it's not just about any one player whether that's MWP or the Black Mamba. This is the sort of action that teams rally around. Teams win championships and this is going to elevate this team to#17.
