Expresses Willingness To Tolerate Some Domestic Abuse

From the very beginning, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) led the opposition to reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) — even leading Senate Judiciary Republicans tounanimously vote against it because they object to its protections for LGBT victims, immigrants and Native Americans. Grassley has now teamed up with Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) “offer a subs ute that would address GOP concerns with the bill.”

Repugs War on Women (cavities and entire body) is real, relentless. They now add Native-Americans and LGBT.

Do they know this is an election year?

The visas are put in place so that victims aren’t too scared to contact the authorities when they find themselves physically harmed or in danger.

So the GOP chickened rather than fight the War on Women (and minorities). GFY

Purely a cynical political decision, not a humanitarian decision. Real Repugs don't GAFF about people, only about the 1% and UCA and suckering "Christian" theocrats.

^not the solution. maybe if they weren't here in the first place they could go to the mexican authorities without fear of deportation.
    But they are here.

do we not provide them with basic human rights and protections?

    Is that what you want?

yeah, a women lying about being beat up to get a visa, and siccing the police on some guy to get him deported. 100% of abused women will do exactly that.

Same bull at St Ronnie slandering all welfare people as fraudulent, thieving Welfare Queens in Cadillacs.

I agree but there shouldn't be an incentive to report a crime either. I don't think this is a solution to your stated problem. Guiliani had a good system in NYC

Somehow, I always thought assault was always a crime. The liberals have harped
on the same old crap for so long about illegals wont come forward on crime if
the police report them to ICE.

Junk argument. Like the so called hate crimes. Thought police are next. I used
to read scifi with junk like this and laughed and now I'm living in a world just like
that. Thank you Libs, like boutons, our resident Marxist.
