Bull . He never ran that.
What about Jeremy Wariner?
Oh.....gotcha!
Bull . He never ran that.
Would you care to make a little wager on that?
So what are you telling me?
Are you saying that no Bristol never ran a 9.3?
Is that correct?
You asked me if I wanted to wager on it. I said, "sure". Was that difficult to understand?
What about...Liu Xiang?
Oh...gotcha!
I don't trust you. I want to make damn sure you understand what you are betting against.
I 'm telling you that yes Bristol was a 9.3 sprinter, are you telling me that's a lie/bull ?
I'm telling you to prove it without using the internet.
Neither Wariner or Xiang are known for anything in the 100. Not saying they have "never" ran the distance, I am saying nobody cared and it was nothing to speak of.
Because you're revisting racism, correct?
Did he run a 9.3 or not? The internet has what to do with that![]()
But you know what...I am willing to give you credit for making your lists vague enough that led me right into your troll. You got me.
He ran a 9.3. I already found it...like you did...on the internet.
Sorry I misunderstood.
Wariner is one of the greatest 400 guys ever. Xiang one of the greatest hurdlers,
Now lets look at all those great white 400m guys and Asian hurdlers. When compared to black 400 guys and 110hurdlers, Wariner and Xiang are oddties/rare. Not the norm at all.
Wrong.
I read it in an old Track & Field News mag.
You were going to kick your ass kicked slick.
Jim HinesUSA 9.11 Charles GreeneUSA 9.1A3 Paul NashRSA 9.23 Lennox MillerJAM 9.2A5 Arnaldo BristolPUR 9.35 Clarence RayUSA 9.35 Jacob HenryUSA 9.35 Tommie SmithUSA 9.3A5 Bill MillerUSA 9.35 Kirk ClaytonUSA 9.3
Dude, I wasn't alive in 1936 so anytime I talk about Jesse Owens it will be something I read. What difference does it make where info is obtained? Have I seen every single track meet over the last 100 years...nope! So chances are I will be reading about things...right?
Are you really as ed up as you appear here?
I'll tell you what. If you can post a pic in the next hour of one of these old magazines you have laying around with some proof that it's you today, I'll not post for a while.
I didn't do anything but assume the average human could figure out why a 9.3 just stood out there.
You honestly don't know about this do you?
If it's me.??? Don't get it.
I'm telling you man. big football/track freak here, for you to still play..."no you aren't"...why?
Why is it the same few posters in every razon thread?
Which does make one wonder...
Does RaZon have his few pets and knows how to work them?
Right. I honestly didn't know that you decided to list a group of world class 110 hurdlers and were posting their top 100 meter times. And right, I didn't make the connection that he was running the 100 yard dash. The much simpler conclusion was that you were just being an idiot.
In any event, you busted my ass with that .
IMO, I think it has alot to do with training and sample size. Most white sprinters run track to stay fit in the off-season sport(s) of their choice - football, whereas traditionally "white" sports such as soccer and baseball are in season during track season, so the best "white" athletes are already devoted.
The white sprinters are usually using track to train for something else, which gives them a huge disadvantage against other "real" track athletes who train specifically for that event year round. As with most sports, typically the younger you start, the better you'll do as you mature.
When you have a country such as Jamaica entirely devoted to one track event, you'll naturally have a high amount of sprinters coming out of that region. Are there any other countries in the world so devoted to that event?
As with alot of sprinters, most of them come out of high density urban centers that have a higher black population. Not only is there significantly more compe ion as a result, but you have a higher sample size to choose from.
Xiang and Wariner are "exceptions" because they've devoted their entire lives to that "one" event they're good at, despite not being black. Bob Hayes, as you stated, was the greatest sprinter ever. He would not have been if he only played football and then started running track.
I really do appreciate the seriousness you displayed there. Obviously you've spent some time coming up with that.
Here's my take...
Asia, Germany, Poland. USSR etc have had sprinters. So how come none of those sprinters ever ran as fast as what we have seen coming out of poor Nigeria? China vs Nigeria when it comes to training....no contest. Yet, we never see a great Chinese 100m man. Nigeria has had a slew of sub10.00 guys. How come?
What we really have is a certain human being with roots to western Africa blessed with a unigue pyhsique. A physique with unique physical charactersistics that gives them an advantage in certain athletic events, events that require speed, agility and quicknesss.
Do you watch football? Ever notice (of course you do) those quick, speedy elusive black running backs and receivers. That is a trait found in abundance in black athletes. Go ahead give me the name of a similiar white athlete? How about the size with speed? Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker both around 220 pounds with great speed. How about tall and fast like Usain Bolt, Tommie Smith, Randy Moss? Where are the similiar white athletes?
Sure we'll see that once in awhile exception, but it is just that...rare.
It's not about anything other than unique physical characteristics we find in those with western African roots.
