Carlisle needs to quit calling timeouts after every thunder 4-0 run tbh
Great point. what he should of done instead was bring Dirk back in sooner ...

none of that should have mattered we had the game and then we lost our killer instinct to close it.

It's a good thing the Thunder had Fisher there for his veteran leadership. Couldn't have done it without him.

Mavs well they did matchup well. I wonder if the theory that clutch play is random is coming back to haunt the Mavs? Last playoffs they won EVERY close game with Dirk making every big play. this year? not so much ...

Or is this the curse of Tyson?

pretty sure tyson would finish inside without getting his swatted every time and grab a few rebounds.

Seriously, this team repeats with Tyson. Bad move. (I'm not saying I would have known better myself, just in hindsight)

perfect defense, lucky bounce. just how it goes. turnovers doomed them. mahimi is soft but effective. this is where they miss barrea, they could drive and kick them to death. now its not so easy.

Barea? sure they miss him. But as the kid said, tyson doesnt get swatted like that inside. (but he doesnt make clutch FT's wither) and though a great shot by Duran,t with chandler that is even tougher Mahinmi almost blocked it ... Tyson probably does (he is 3 inches taller)

That's why I'm not too pissed after a playof loss like I normally am.

Dirk had 3 turnovers? In the clutch which is very uncharacteristic for him. Terry, after having an amazing first half only took 3 shots in the 2nd half which is also not himself. I don't believe in moral wins but despite the choke in the 4th, OKC still needed a GREAT shot over 2 defenders and a lucky bounce.

The shot was a tough make.
What should be of a concern is you guys have lost some games on the road the same way. Portland, Lakers and Utah were lost with some very careless sloppy play by Dirk. Of course you should not lose faith in him, but waiting for Dirk to look like 2011 Dirk ... I have seen it only in flashes. To win this series he needs to get back to that level ...quick.

Mavs were literally a lucky bounce away from a win against the heavy favorites on the road in game 1. I'm not jumping off a cliff yet
