Shannahan doesn't play that. If by mid season RGIII isn't winning football games, watch what happens. They drafted Cousins for a reason.

Did I not mention...gut feeling? Rule one when it comes to gambling, never ever go with your heart/gut feeling. You go with facts/stats/trends. You look for reasons to favor an opinion. You look for angles.
RGIII doesn't throw darts, he doesn't fit the ball into small windows. That weakness will be exposed at the NFL level. You can get away with that in the NCAA just ask JaMarcus Russell. Cousins throws the NFL pass.

Doubtful. Cousins was a good college QB and appears to be pretty bright with good leadership skills. But in this draft in particular, there was a huge drop-off in talent among QBs after the top (maybe you could argue top 4 with Tannehill and Weedon). But still quite a drop-off even after those 4. Physically, Cousins doesn't really do anything better than RG3. He doesn't have a stronger arm, doesn't have a more accurate arm, isn't more mobile, and from what I've seen of Cousins (quite a bit being a Michigan fan watching a lot of Big Ten games), I wouldn't categorize him as the best decision-maker either. Like I said, a pretty good college QB and seems to be a bright kid and a good leader.
But I don't know why someone would think Cousins would outplay RG3 unless you just really think RG3 is going to be a bust. Cousins isn't even more talented than Patrick Ramsey.
Luck and RG3 will both be stars. Book it.
