spurs-celtics
Spurs-76ers
Spurs-Celtics
Spurs-Knicks
Spurs-Pacers
Spurs-Heat
Spurs-Hawks
Spurs-Bulls
Spurs-Magic
The purists will probably say Spurs-Celtics, the others will probably want Spurs-Heat.
A Spurs-Bulls matchup just lost most of its luster with Derrick Rose's injury today - that is, if the Bulls even advance that far in the playoffs now.
I vote Spurs-Heat. Always wanted a San Antonio-Miami matchup. We were this close to having Spurs vs. Heat in 2005 and 2006, and it didn't happen. We were also somewhat close to a Spurs-Heat matchup in 1999 and 2011, except that 8# seeds pulled out shocking upset wins over a #1 seed each time.
Doesn't matter. Bring em on.

Spurs and Celtics would be the easier series that is for sure. But putting another nail into Lebron's coffin would be great!
I am not looking for an easier series, I just like the storyline better. Plus my affluent uncle just moved back to san antonio after living in concord, ma for 25 years. I could probably talk him into finals tix.![]()
whover gives the spurs the 5th ring is all it matters
Well, you could make the case that Spurs-Celtics and Spurs-Heat would both be very difficult matchups, AND carry compelling storylines.
Spurs/Magic. Easiest sweep the Spurs would get.
Spurs-76ers, Spurs-Knicks or Spurs-Magic ... I'll let the basketball gods decide.
Thanks in advance![]()
It would also have the interesting storyline of Tim Duncan vs. the Orlando Magic, a team he could have joined.
I just thought of another reason I want the C's over the heat. I don't want lebron to get back to the finals. Even if they keep getting there and losing, and become the bills. Sure everyone makes fun of the Bills, but they remember them too. Make last year the last finals for them.
I would duncan/c's duncan/garnett... there is a lot there.
Celtics would be an easier series, but to be the best you have to beat the best. The Heat.
I'll take the Spurs/Bulls for 500 Alex.
Celtics would be easier of course, but it doesn't matter, to be a champion you have to best the best of the best
Spurs-Celtics.
But only if the Celtics give Miami a total beatdown and beantown thinks they are masters of the universe again.
i wanna give LeBron some more whiplash
Spurs-celtics ONLY because the referees, Miami gets ridiculous calls.
I would prefer a series win
There is a lot of premature ejaculation threads going on here....time to chill and take it a game at a time.
Just trying to take things a day at a time, honestly. Whatever happens will unfold in time... but I'll keep -talking anyway because... well... this is a SPORTS forum afterall. WTH else would we do?

The nationally televised castration of the Heatles would be too good to pass up
I would prefer a win against Utah tomorrow, followed by another 3 Spurs wins.
I would love to see Spurs - Knicks. The media would explode with Linsanity again and tell us how great the Knicks were. How they overcame adversity with D'Antoni. How Carmello has adjusted. Blah blah blah. Nobody would even mention the old, ugly, mean Spurs.
Then the Knicks would get swept.
Hilarious...
great to see all this ''Spurs in the finals'' threads... Man, they haven't played one ing game of the playoffs.
