Spurs of the East... now all they need is an awesome GM, a hall of famer coach, top 10 all time player, two hall of famers and they'll be just like the Spurs.
Word is no silver/gray will be used in the uniforms. I can't think of any pro/college team that's done that - maybe Providence?
They'll be looking like football referees on the court tbh.

oh, ESPN.The Nets will unveil their new uniforms sometime in the fall. They are the only team in the league to have a black and white color scheme.
(yes, I realize our unis feature silver, but for realz?)

I don't like them. I'm not from Brooklyn nor am I a Nets fan, so I guess that has something to do with it.
But WTF is up with completely changing your colors and style ? Worse yet, piggy backing someone else's colors ?
I know, I know, we are Black and Silver, but still. The new Nets gear lacks originality and completely breaks from their past. LOL, you can run all you want but you're still the Nets. Put lipstick on a pig and its still a pig.
Years ago, the Spurs took something classic and added a disgusting splash of sorbet fiesta colors to their warm-ups. At least they acknowledge how awful they were and changed back to a more traditional look.
All in all very nice not to much or over done. Easy on the eyes. I remember when Sacramento came out with their new uniforms, it was too much to look at.
We need to come up with a new secondary logo and a alternative logo, but leave the primary alone. Something to wear on the shoulder of a sweater or hat.
Also we need to update the uniforms. We need a uni with broad shoulders like the ones Miami wears. Ours look like high school gear. We also need a black uniform with light gray pinstripes similar to what Chicago had.
The "SAN ANTONIO" throwbacks would be cool to wear once and a while.
I recall the city of San Antonio having a contest to name and develope a logo for the SCORPIONS. Could this be done for the Spurs and Silver Stars?
The Silver Stars logo is terrible. Needs to be broad and centered.
Anyway hope you guys in San Antonio run with this and make it happen.

Why a shield? Shouldn't a logo reflect the city, especially since they're just moving there?
Seems kind of random to call themselves the Nets but have a shield as the background for the logo.

I like the skinny shoulders but agree the city name should be on there some place. The team wore it as recent as 1988-1989 season.
