Stupid kid.
Firstly, the ass ends of the bread are the best. Secondly, you put them back because they prevent the rest of the bread from getting stale.
My wife buys tons of them and we put then on everything...bread, chips, etc.
My gf and her parents put bread in the damn freezer....to keep it fresh. How the f am I suppose to eat it if it's like a damn rock and needs to be thawed.

maybe they've decided you eat too much of their ing bread and only put it in there when they know you're coming over
It'd be cheaper just to throw away the whole loaf after you take out a couple of pieces. Which is what I do.
I'm still using the twist and tuck method and I ain't changing.
I've always just twisted and tucked. Who really saves that wire tie?
Doesn't taste as fresh after it was frozen. Picks up some freezer burn in the process.
The problem with that is someone always moves the bread and it ends up not being tucked anymore and gets stale.
I hate when someone actually ties the end of the bread bag and I have to rip the damn bag open.
