I can't see how this movie will be anything but a flop. Flying giant balls? A retired class of warship with Josh Hartnett and Rhiana to save the day?
God damn, this movie just looks horrendous. Liam is the only thing going for this movie and its not nearly enough.
Those flying giant alien balls tore up!
They basically came up with the goofiest story imaginable to set the stage for 1 1/2 minutes of old school battleship gameboard action on the big screen. And it was awesome.
Taylor Kitsch is never going to get another big screen call ... he better hope A&E puts "Friday Night Lights Revisited" on the front burner.
my faith in humanity just got a little stronger
Wow no way I see eye-to-eye with you. I thought the same thing tbh.
One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
I'm not seeing this movie, but when I first saw the trailer I was interested for about 20 seconds.
Liam instantly makes any movie intriguing plus Eric from twilight making his movie debut.
But, then I see Rihanna and I realize what this movie was and I wasn't buying into it.
Rihanna was the tiebreaker for me on whether or not i'd pay to see it in theaters. She had no business in this movie
The movie was entertaining. No one (I think) expected this to receive an academy award for script or acting, but it delivers on what it promised, tons of action. I was thoroughly entertained. I thought the aliens were impressive. I lol'd that they actually worked the board game into the movie when they are calling out coordinates and firing blind shots at the 'invisible' alien ship.
you sunk my battleship
watched this today. Its so over the top it actually isn't nearly as bad as I thought but its still not good.
The best part of this , was how utterly stupid the producers of this film are. Its a huge rah rah film for the military right? All about how awesome the Navy kicked ass etc etc etc. So what song do they choose to go to the credits?
Fortunate Son.
Have they never listened to the lyrics? WTF?
