This map is dog .
I stumbled upon this map the other day:
While it's interesting to look at, I suspect its allocation of space to franchise fanbases is not very accurate. Particularly in the western half of the US. Frankly, I think it underestimates the pervasiveness of large market franchise fanbases. If you could change this map to more accurately reflect how fanbases are distributed, what teams would you increase or decrease in size?
lakers and heat both take 1/3 of each state.
That thing's like 3 years old. There's a more updated one that's far more accurate (Clippers take up much more space, Heat have most of the Southeast, Cavs basically lost everything, Texas panhandle and some of New Mexico belong to the Thunder, and other changes I can't remember).
Not really, considering they have china too. So the Texas fanbase Is relatively small
The NFL one is better
bobcats
forgot about all them diehard charlotte fans, scrah
^ they have argentina & france as well tbh
They also have Australia these days
most likely a nice chunk of Brazil as well
whats with the question mark area![]()
funny how the miami is limited on the florida peninsula. in fact more then 90% of bball fans in this country are Miami fans now tbh, we're the favorite in almost ALL major US cities barring maybe only Cleveland tbh
Tbh there are still far more Laker fans than Heat fans around the country. When/if the Heat win a ring with the Superfriends, there will be more Heat fans.

Somebody threw that together to make a Clippers joke tbh.
Nope they dont. Many are after Suns.
To be serious, the ? area is one of the most backwoods places in the US. Kidding aside, I spent 3 months there, and some people didn't realize we were at war. There are no newspapers, and 99% of people had no Internet or TV.
Sounds kind of like the Hill People in the Smokey Mountains here in TN.
They left off that large area just South of the US that primarily cheers for the lakers
