Amazing even after Bonner got a nice block on Favors - Pop goes to Splitter with Duncan.

The man is a genius.
I'm not sold on that offense (though the defense was great). I wonder what prompted him to make the decision.
Not only that, but it seems Pop has plays ready for Duncan splitter line up. That"V" play he called was beautiful, but splitter screwed up the finish

Yep we waited all year to see that. Glad it worked. And surprise surprise we held an opponent to 90 points. That's no coincidence.
On a seprate note, why did Blair play just 6 minutes did he get hurt or Pop just had him benchwarming?
Only reason Blair played was cuz Bonner had 3 fouls in the 1st quarter.

Blair irritates me less when he comes off the bench. I'd still like to trade him but I think I can live with him when he's not starting.

Don't act like it was his plan from the beginning. Be honest for once and admit the whooping the Lakers gave us is what did this. After that game it was just too obvious to make a change.

Too bad he played them together before that game..
For the last three months of the season, Duncan and Splitter played together for less than a minute per game. If Pop breaks it out more in the playoffs, that'd be great.
However, it'd make his refusal to use it in the regular season look even dumber in retrospect. The regular season is when you should be fine-tuning the chemistry of various lineups. To wait until the postseason makes no sense.
But again, better late than never I guess . . .

Iirc, someone posted in the gameblog that he actually didn't say anything like that.
