has anybody listed the fighters floyd allegedly ducked yet?
being that he's been in the welterweight division for around 6 years, id say just about the whole division.

He ducked Shane, but so did Pac. Shane back then would have knocked out either of them
but Shane was still in pretty good condition when they fought in 2010, though. He kicked margarito's ass the year before. So I wouldn't call it a duck.

Besides Mosely has a history of juicing. I wouldn't fight a fighter taking roids *cough* pacman*cough* either.

    You're this a lot pac-fan

Typical pac-fan logic, avoiding the question: Who fought Cotto as his natural weight?
    Pass1st, what's Cotto's natural weight?

ahh...so youre saying that pacquiao isnt STRONG...and all those knock downs he did to morales, barrera, hatton, cotto, marquez etc we're all flukes. okkkkk
Oh, sure, he's stronger than all of us for sure

He got T/KOs and knock outs because he out lasted fighters, which is....wait for it....dependent on Stamina!

Nobody will say Ali was stronger than Liston, but nobody will say Liston had better stamina.

when he first joined the welterweight scene in 2007, the TOP WELTERWEIGHT FIGHTERS at the time were:

    Cotto
    Clottey
    Berto
    Margarito
    Mosely
    Mayweather

you do the research and see who and when he fought any of those guys.

Yeah, but Shane's age started to show. Mayweather might have taken Shane in his prime years, but it would be a 50-50 between Money being knocked out and Shane losing by points.

Then can you explain why the 7 fights previous to Pacquiao was at 147 and below if thats his "natural wieght"?

margarito didn't become relevant until after he fought cotto in 2008 and he too is a cheater. cotto isn't the same as he was in 07' but he's still a good fighter, right? Floyd is 4 years older and still beat him. already discussed mosely, Clottey? really? nobody wants to see floyd kick Clottey's ass by punching through his turtle s fighting style for 12 rounds.

so basically ya'lls logic is floyd ducked the fighters because he didn't fight them in 2007-2008 but beat the same people in 2010-2012?

ahh..the old..."he'll kick everyones ass anyways so he doesnt NEED to fight them" logic.

I rather see the "i'll fight everyone and prove it in the ring" logic.

Natural weight is a fighter's weight when he performs the best. Right now, his natural weight is light middle, he got older and most people believe he's playing better at that weight than Welter or Light Welter.

On top of that, Pac fought him at catch weight

His natural weight was welter up until early 2009 when he showed his age against Clottey. He then started moving towards light middle, which is a typical change fighters undergo as they age. When you lose a step, you move up and make up for that in strength. Natural weight is not static, it's a gauge of what weight the fighter performs best at.

so you are blaming pacquiao for fighting Cotto at the weight that he has ALWAYS been fighting every other fighter before him.

    hmmmm ok.

Not blaming anybody, Cotta agreed to the fight.

Mayweather just had a more impressive victory since Cotto was in the best possible shape while Pac, in a catch-weight bout, fought him when he was making the transition to light middle.

So these are the 5 fights before Cotto fought Pacquiao
    Clottey 146
    Jenning 147
    Margarito 147
    Gomez 146.5
    Mosely 146.5

then he fights pacquiao and all of a sudden its not his "natural weight"

    HAHAHA WTFFF!!

3 years older, 2 poundings later, no knock downs, 12 round decision

Did you watch Cotto vs Clottey? I kind of doubt it, because Cotto was visibly not the same fighter and was getting hit more than usual. Cotto wasn't the kind of fighter that would get abused by flurries and combinations, but he fell prey to Clottey's. Even though Cotto knocked him down, it was a very close victory
