I would rather be the Lakers than the Celtics. Celtics may have more chips, but Lakers will always be the more successful franchise.
To answer your question, i would rather the Spurs make it to the Finals than lose in the WCF.
Spurs fans, be honest. Your team is a perfect 4 for 4 in the Finals. Your team has always came out as the winner in every Finals that they have played in. My question is: would you rather want them to make the Finals but lose or not evern make it to the Finals? I'm saying if you had to pick one of those scenarios.
Could you handle the Spurs being 4 for 5 instead of 5 for 5?

I don't understand. Spurs go to Finals - Spurs win Finals. This is how it has always been. This is how it will be.
Who is dis guy.
Mavfan makes a valid argument. I, like presumably most of you, have always thought "NBA Finals=championship". The Spurs have fought great odds to win each one.... it might be time to accept a defeat for once, at the expense of a long overdue championship for LeBron.
Excluding the 2005 Pistons, the Spurs have always played ty teams in the Finals. If you don't count the Pistons, the Spurs have never been tested in the Finals. , they've never even trailed in the Finals. The only time they faced elimination in the Finals was game 7 in the 2005 Finals.
But road throughout west was always tough. Mavs, Suns, Lakers year after year compete really hard.
Is it the Spurs fault that they have to face ty teams from the East?
Tbh, the Nets put up a damn good fight. Spurs almost wasted Duncan's Game 6 performance.
Game was tied at the start of the 4Q in Game 7.
That's pretty even for me.
, when did a Finals series has ever been that even in the last 20 years or more?
theres no losing in the finals for the spurs, so i think it is better not to make it than to make it then fail
It depends on how the Spurs would lose in the Finals. If the Spurs lost it in Game 7, I'd rather they lose in the Finals knowing they at least had a shot to win it all. If the Spurs were to get swept or lose in 5, I'd probably rather the Spurs not even make it.
I don't understand this "I don't want my team to go as far as possible." Losing in the Finals > Losing before the Finals. Getting to the Finals means getting to see your team for at least four more games.
