What did he do?
.....didn't Horry get two games for his infamous hip-check?
Just an observation..
Jason Smith got 2 games earlier this year when he did the same thing to Blake Griffin.
lol NBA double standard
Blame Collison for not acting like he got shot after the hit. Same thing as the Posey hip-check on Hinrich (1 game) and the Jason Smith hit on Griffin (2 games?)
Didnt he shove the outta Rip too & nothing??
I don't think it was suspension-worthy but that foul would have been a flagrant 2 for about half the NBA. Maybe a suspension if someone with a past like Artest, Bowen, Bynum, etc. did that.
Why the would he get suspended for that??? This is the NBA, not the pussy league.
Posey got one game in the playoffs for this. Pretty similar. Won't use the Jason Smith example since that was a reg. season foul.
You're right and wrong. Sure, that play isn't as bad as punching someone. But when you've suspended two players for doing the exact same thing (James Posey/Jason Smith), what makes this situation different (other than the obvious "Wade's a superstar" argument)?
He shoulda sold it like Griffin did when he got hit the same way!
It's been a pussy league for a while.
Rondo gets a game for dry humping an official but Wade doesnt get anything for a blatant cheap shot where other players of lesser fame got a couple of games for the same thing.
I'm not familiar with those other two incidents, but if they were similar to Wade's, then they shouldn't have been suspended either.
Tbh i don't think it deserves a suspension either, just like i think most of these fouls don't deserve one..I do see the league not being very consistent in these decisions.
In one a superstar got hit, and the other a superstar did the hitting.
it doesnt look as bad from that angle. based on some of the suspensions recently i could see an arguement for suspension.
If that was Splitter getting hit he might have needed DRob's chiroprachtor tbh..
NbA is rigged. We all know this.
No chance got stern suspends Dwhistle with bosh out. We watch a business, not a sport.
pacers vs spurs finals. think of the ratings.
Kobe's flagrant wasn't even reviewed, and that one would have gotten at least a game for everyone else in the league.
Seriously, the only time anyone in the entire world worries about TV ratings is when the Spurs are in the playoffs.
After giving all three plays a quick look, I would only agree with suspending the Hornets player because 1) it seemed like the hardest hit, and 2) Blake was on the verge of going airborne for a layup, which might increase the likelihood of injury.
It's not logical that Wade isn't suspended at least 1 game while Posey and Smith got suspended for similar plays.
The league shouldn't be the one that handle suspensions and fines. The league main job is to make the NBA profitable which is hurt by the suspension of a star player. Fines and suspensions should be handled by a referee's committee with as little ties as possible with the league.
