Spurs with a craptastic 2nd quarter and still up by 4 at the half.

We should be up by 14, but I'll take it.

    GO SPURS GO!!!!!

LOL counting on Neal for any defense just means he shouldn't play. And considering the opponents, maybe he shouldn't.
Would you go with Mills? He'll match the speed but is kind of a loose cannon.

But Manu contributed to that big lead evaporation by jacking many needless 3s and that influences the rest of the team to make similar decisions. When you have a comfortable 1st half lead in 8-15 points or so, there is no need to continue jacking 3s with a lot of time left on the clock. You should continue to move the ball, waste more time, find better shots. Try to preserve the lead.

Every now and then when Manu quarterbacks the offense with a few other bench players he falls in the trap of playing desperate offense when the team needs the exact opposite.
    This is totally true.

Not feeling too confident because game basically tied and CP3 has played HORRIBLE. If he even plays average in the second half and the Spurs don't pick it up, things can get dicey.

Get back to ball and player movement. Keep the ball pressure but pay more attention to the shooters. Get the intensity back.

    Believe.

Mills in the playoffs would be more of a try in the first half and see how responds kind of player. I'm not sure chucking him out there towards the end of the 3rd quarter in an important playoff game is the wisest move.

SA was missing their open shots
clippers were making contested 3s/midrange shots
and guys like bledsoe/martin/griffin hit some deep 2s as well which isnt their shot

I expect Pop to make better adjustments at the half than Vinny.
I had the exact same thought.

Not a problem tbh. Clippers likely fall in love with the outside shot and Spurs make them pay at the opposite end. I want to see less Bonner, more Tiago.

I had to do a quick check on that one. I think Mills would at least get a good shot up. All those possessions with turnovers, or recovered deflections leading to a brick at the buzzer sort of killed us. So I dunno... maybe I would rather have Mills in there. Better a possession with a chance of scoring, than those throw-aways.

The Clippers are playing hard and I take my hat off to them. They're game

Too many perimeter shots, too many outside the rhythm of the offense. If they get back to ball movement and flashing to spots without the ball they'll get in rhythm looks and start knocking them down. Need to attack the rim more as well.

I also want to see Manu stop taking so many 3s and take it to the hole every chance he gets.

When he played the point he turned into Chuckobili, also missed a lay up on a play for him.
He rushed a three on a 2 for 1 situation, then he missed an open three, and step-back three with the clock running down. Not a whole lot of chucking there.

And the layup he missed wasn't a called play, he just took it to the rim 'cause he saw an opening, it was a good shot, he just missed it.

Manu is playing well, if he would have goten a bit more touches at the end of the second we would be up by a bigger margin by now.

I conclude from your comments that you are not empirically inclined.

BTW, regarding your advice to me and your names for me? GFY!

If the bench can hold a plus minus of -15 or better, we got this.

The starters will do their job coming out of halftime

That one play where Diaw tried to pass way upcourt and it was picked off, leading to 3 foul shots for the Clippers, pissed me off. We better not lose a close one tonight.
