Points in the paint: Spurs 50, Clippers 18
"Spurs are a soft, 3-pt shooting team that lives by the 3 and dies by the 3."
Points in the paint: 50-18. Clips shoot better percentage from 3, more FTs, still get spanked.

Ok, stop with the overreacting. The guy had 22 points in 26 minutes in Game 1. He struggled tonight but he continues to be a part of THE BIG 3. End of the bench?! Stop with that BS.

Man y'all are a well oiled machine, only better. You have every reason to be talking finals right now. Someone put up a thread! Lol

Thanks for showing class, Clipper fan. I'm sure Game 3 will be tough. You guys hit some tough shots tonight and I'm sure you guys will carry that into your home court on Saturday. We'll see what happens.
Pop answer on Splitter starting the second half is simply Diaw has 3 fouls.
Thanks. If the WCF were Clippers vs. Lakers, I'd be rooting for the Clippers to sweep the Lakers.
This was a 17-point win that could easily have been a 30-point win.
We should at least get the split in LA, hopefully a sweep.
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
WERD...no hate for the Clippers here...they don't give up...you gotta play 48 minutes against those guys.![]()
I'm concerned about sjax offense.
17 point win on a night where the Clips shot 70% from three.![]()
Good game. Didn't seem pretty, yet win by 17 we'll sure take it.
I thought we missed some easy shots, especially in the 2nd quarter, yet "cooled" down to 40% from 3 and still hit ten of them.
Clippers are having to hit difficult outside shots just to keep it respectable. Does not bode well for them heading back LA.
He only had a couple shot attempts tonight. The team needs to make a more concerted effort in getting him involved in the offense when he's out there and it starts with Neal being a chucker instead of looking to Jax and Manu like he's supposed to. I mean, I know Neal has a great jumper but he needs to know the personnel out there and accept the fact that he's being asked to run the point to spell TP.
That's the only thing preventing a total route right now. I think he will step up in LA, and we keep winning by +/- 20 points. I just don't see anywhere LAC have an advantage they can exploit.
TP looks like one of those guys who knocks on my door.
Yup...but for that ridiculous performance from 3 by the Clippers, this is a 30-point laugher tonight.![]()
Oh, BTW...Manu should have been shooting 3 FTs on that "tipped out of bounds by the Clippers" play in the first half.![]()
yeah i figure our squad is still a work in progress. we dont have an offensive post presence and our post defenders are just relying on grit right now.
not to mention we have no purpose on offense when the predictable PnR is denied.
that being said, i was surprised how well/easily you've dismantled us considering we matched up pretty well in the regular season. blake handled timmy pretty well during those 3 encounters. what frustrates me the most is that our 2 horses are nowhere near effective due to injury (blake's game relies on athleticism and power and chris needs that jab step and quickness in the paint). take that away and we're just a mess right now.
but no excuses. the spurs are rolling.
When people say the game wasn't pretty, I don't get what they mean in tonight's instance. The Spurs moved the ball well, fought through the Clippers comeback attempts and crazy outside shooting, fluke FT shooting and all that, and though they got down to a 3 or 2 point differential at one point, the Spurs spread it to 10 and kept it around there for most of the 2nd half until it became gamble time for the Clippers.
This is the second round, you're not supposed to blow teams out, you're supposed to meet resistance, to have rookies and new acquisitions who freak out and turn the ball over, but the Spurs had little to none of that. It was well controlled. Sure we could have beaten them by 40 if every single thing went our way, but this isn't a video game.
You made excuses then you said "no excuses". If you mean what you say, you won't put excuses in your post. We all know who's injured.
just an acknowledgement of where my frustration comes from, chief.
no excuses - i can only base it on what was on the court and we were clearly outclassed.
D. Green was huuuggee in this game
Whenever the Clips got close, he'd hit a big 3 to give the spurs a cushion, plus his usual activity on the defensive end , man he's everywhere... (and to think he probably wouldnt be in the rotation right now if manu didnt get injured)
Also Diaw played terrific, just a great all around game from him, it was beautiful to watch diaw/duncan lineup
You sound like Vinny: "We don't make excuses" then he goes on to talk about who's injured or tired. Same is true for Spo.
What frustrates me is that you are making excuses.
But I don't accuse people of making excuses, sport.
