Hey, the Spurs haven't lost a game since this was originally posted.
Just thank the universe that Pop changed his ways-and thank the Lakers for exposing Pop and the road he was on prior to that beatdown.

I remember remarking after that game that the lakers (and especially Bynum) are going to regret running up his rebound totals and completely taking Pop's comfortable little crutch and beating him over the head with it. After that game (or rather humiliation), we finally got to see more Splitter/Diaw for the most part and less Blair/Bonner. And the result is the spurs haven't lost a game since.

But it is so much easier for the piranhas/Popsuckers to just try and rally around the "Pop is always right, 4 rings, where do you coach?" garbage.
The lakers game was so necessary for a change to be made. It was as if everyone but Pop could see the obvious.
Thankfully Pop didn't remain stubborn as in years past and continued to overplay Bonner and bury Tiago on the pine.
Now, even Bonner doesn't look as horrible in limited minutes.
Having said that-Bonner was in the game in crunch-time yesterday-so I would still be a bit wary of Pop going back to that.

Though apparently you'd rather the lakers' loss never happened and still be saddled with Blair starting (or rather farting off whataburger gas) and Bonner being the first big off the bench getting upwards of 25 minutes a game... and we've already seen how that movie ends.

While others were whining about getting some athlete who couldn't play basketball to sit on the inactive list, I said the Spurs needed a starting PF to move Blair out of the rotation. I can't say I thought Diaw would fit that role as well as he has, but I certainly thought more of him than you.
