"prison guards* probably do a lot better than most of you in this economy, and for those of you lacking in job skills or education - business will continue to boom in that sector (think of the criminals made in one night alone in OKC after those over zealous fans started shooting it up after the Thunder with the help of the zebras and some choking by LAL went onto the finals).

Moreover, for those not ready for a job "working" behind barsin the health care economy there are surely plenty of jobs these days emptying bed pans and the like for those of you who could not qualify or get through LPN, X ray school or the like and who knows maybe one or two of you out there may even be able to apply for medical school or a similar profession, but I am not holding my breath that many will make it through that demanding application or professional gauntlet.

You'd be surprised how socially awkward some of them are and how limited their communication skills are outside of the medical field. I've met some brilliant physicians that sounded like they had brain damage once you started talking about something beyond medicine.

tbh same thing with a lot of math/science teachers. You could mistake a lot of my Physics professors with Einstein himself, but if I were to ever talk about basketball they would be out of their league even though it's much easier to comprehend

I have a couple friends who will make great doctors (even doing her PhD at the same time). But I know many scros so deseprate to become a doctor they end up going to med school in the Caribbean . Some people even go to grad school first so they could re-apply to med school in a smaller pool.

Even better, I took a one-year co-op program after I finished grad school and I was in the class with a guy who said he was a doctor. Now naturally I was asking myself why was a doctor attending a college co-op program. I later saw his resume and he got his MD off some island off Fiji

rofl sounds like the pre-med people I know who scoff business majors and then after they realize they aren't getting into any respectable med school start applying to the same law schools business majors are applying to

TBH, this happens a lot. The sad part if you ask them how many med schools they applied to, you have to multiply their answer X5 to get the truth. One guy I know was trying to get into med school since undergrad, never said a word about it. 4 years later his facebook status changes "I got in!!!"

Your family doctor was undoubtedly a hard worker in his early years (got through medical school), but he's probably not blowing the doors off any IQ tests. The smartest doctors go into surgery or a specialized field of medicine, where the money is.

I'm sure Rummpd is a decent guy, but I wouldn't trust that re ed sob to provide anything resembling a proper medical diagnosis.

the time major smack is really fun is political sciences. I've never seen a major with so many people who think their major will lead to a bevy of job opportunities when their major is really worth jack . Other worthless majors, like com majors, know their major is worth for the most part.

Just one example being my friend who tried telling me about the 5 week course he could take to get his CPA once he's done with school.
