RT @SpearsNBAYahoo: Y! Sports story: Pau Gasol entering offseason wondering if he played last game for @Lakers. http://t.co/kSnJTbRn
Also, Lakers' Gif Material Mitch Kupchack said today that changes are coming
I hope not. He's ing soft as a pillow but I don't want to deal with Andrew Bynum's . Ship that re ed er's ass immediately.
Nah, they gotta dump Gasol. Since they pulled him off the block and gave that spot to Bynum his shooting has dropped to Kobe levels. I don't think they'll get good value for him with his stock what it is, though I think he can go back to being one of the top PFs in the league if his new team plays him down low. No way you dump Bynum considering their respective ages even if Drew is a moron and a China doll.
Lefty, you trying to give people a seizure with that sig?
i dunno why he went away from his post game to shootin jumpers, another big shooter is not what the lakers needed....
He was knocking them down though. He even made a few 3s.
But I have to agree though, big men should not be shooting jumpers left and right. But I also understand why he did. Not enough touches inside, he had to get his shots somewhere. Might as well be from outside the perimeter.
Sorry
As for Gasol taking 3's, that's what happens when Kobe is coaching the team
Spacing, spacing, spacing, Kobe going one on 5, D collapses on Kome and he has to to dish it out
Dude shot 43% in the playoffs; I mean, that's awful for a skilled bigman. Last year's playoffs he shot 42%.
cant let emotion get into this. business is business, kobe and bynums numbers either stayed the same or went up, gasol's plumeted. averaging 12 and 7 in the last 2 playoffs is just not defensible.
Mike Brown.
Gasol is playing out of the paint to open the court for Bynum. It's not what he wants but he's not the coach. That's all.
Lakers aren't winning a le with kobe there. May as well dump gasol and try to rebuild a little.
If Spain wasn't such a dump now, I'd say he's going back to Europe
Props to Gasol for leading the Lakers to two les and I wish him well if he is dealt to another team.
Dude should've had the 2010 Finals MVP, like Duncan should've had it in 2007. They always give it to the biggest scorer, though, not the true most valuable player.
Well said, +1
The Kobe/Gasol duo has run its course. Kobe might be an aging ballhog but he's still one of the L's best scorers and is most likely a Laker for life. That leaves Gasol and Bynum and like you said, there's no way you trade Bynum considering his potential and lengthy future.
Bye bye Gasol. Now it's just whether they get some solid contributors in return, and whether Potato Head can use them correctly.
They should trade the chucker and keep their 2 star big men tbh
They should see if they can convince the Grizzlies to do another swap, this time sending Marc or ZBo to the Lakers!
probably Stern is already working on it
I hope they do. Can't see what they'd get back in return for him that makes them better. But they're the Lakers so you never know.
Pau is like #4 or #5 on they're list of problems right now. Glad he'll probably be scapegoated.
Kobe's the real problem. They should be surrounding Pau and Bynum with talent who will pound it inside all the time and worry about their shot second. But since Kobe basically can't be traded . . .
