It's not just people being pulled over.

^youre employed instead of starving in Africa because of affirmative action be grateful
It's not just people being pulled over.

affirmative action is some bull . and Africa really isn't that bad. there are some countries that on Texas.
outta here with that bull chart. blacks are targeted by the police more than any other race and this is the truth.
When blacks get pulled over or apprehended, like this tends to happen at an alarming rate:
the cop only got 11 months in jail for that. killed a kid who was handcuffed by shooting him in the back. and these are the people who are supposed to protect us?
I know right? I guarantee if Whitey moved to Africa and fixed up the continent, you guys would all be in line to get back to the motherland. Whitey just can't win.
there are whites there....
get the outta here...IN AFRICA?
I think he is referring to the rare albino lion.
did someone say, "albino"
yeah, he's straight from Africa
Races and IQ? I've actually looked at that quite a bit and while the results of IQ testing do show a certain result they don't necessarily say what people tend to think they say.
And my main point there was just to say that there's a lot of progress that needs to be made on both sides. Both in terms of false perceptions and with respect to the other improvements that need to be made within the African American community.
There's also less black people in the country period. So naturally whites/Asians would have most of the jobs given all that background.
Even so, it doesn't look like the numbers fully agree with the stereotype of loud black criminals anymore. Number-wise things are definitely not good in that blacks are overrepresented in the lower income bracket but tbh it looks like my point still stands that the majority of blacks aren't living in poverty and that progress is being made overall.
http://www.census.gov/prod/2011pubs/p60-239.pdf
Whether looking at the 25.8% poverty percentage or the more recent 27.4%, which I'm inclined to think comes from the fact that the country as a whole has experienced an increase in poverty rates (Whites from 9.4% to 9.9%, Latino/Hispanics from 25.3% to 26.6% based on what's listed there).
That's a lot but it still means that you have 74.2% or 72.6% of American blacks who have kept themselves going financially.
More interesting stats I found over there:
Educationally speaking the numbers say that 81.9% of African Americans have graduated high school, 34.1% of African Americans are enrolled in university, 32.3% have been to college or have an associate's degree, and a total of 11.7% have graduated with a bachelor's degree.
The 18-24 age is 11.8%
The 25-34 age is 13.7%
http://factfinder2.census.gov/faces/...html?fpt=table
In comparison whites have a high school graduation rate of 87.7%, 31.6% are enrolled in university, 29.3% have been to college or gotten an associate's degree, and a total of 18.6% have a bachelor's degree.
The 18-24 age is 9.4%
The 25-34 age is 12.6%
http://factfinder2.census.gov/faces/...prodType=table
And also, it looks like the whole benefits/en lement programs thing is a bit of a wash.
Whites have a higher median income with $52, 480 while blacks make $33, 578.
Percentage-wise blacks take more in supplemental Social Security Income at 9.7% at a median of $8,212, Cash Public Assistance Income 5.5% at a median of $3,339, and way way way more in Food Stamps at 26.1%. 24.5% of blacks use Social Security Income at a median of $12, 946.
Meanwhile whites supplemental Social Security Income is at 4.3% at a median of $9,011, Cash Public Assistance Income 2.3% at a median of $4,061, and Food Stamps are 9.3%. 30.6% of whites use Social Security Income at a median of $16,826.
Black employment rate is 62.2% while white employment is 64.3%. It looks like I was *really* wrong on that one so I owe you an apology mavs>spurs.
If you consider the way that the ghetto class is probably skewing the African American result a bit I think that these numbers are actually very encouraging. Considering the open discrimination and the fact that it must've taken a few years to get African Americans into the education system this is actually very impressive.
I'll admit I was expecting blacks to be significantly worse in just about every area. Though I have to say if the numbers are like this then the stereotyping is a little bit worse than I thought. :/
Yeah that wasn't my point at all. Sorry. What I meant there was basically that there's a lot of progress to be made both within the African American community and in American society as a whole because at this stage they're just not on equal footing from a cultural perspective. A lot of it is self-inflicted and a lot of it is due to the popular but largely false beliefs held by a lot of people. Including blacks themselves.
You don't think maybe it's because the jews and asians receives quality education compared to the urban schools? A lot of them are able to go to private schools as well. I guarantee you that if blacks have access to those types of education, those IQ numbers would rise and there would be less of them trying to sell drugs like your "friends". There is a 99% graduation rate from blacks finishing Ivy League schools so it can't just be a race thing.
iq tests are designed to measure natural intelligence so that level of education shouldn't be the driving factor. after 4 years of college, i can safely say that the black students are always "that" student failing the test and asking re ed questions.
If your friends are talking about dealing drugs or whatever then they themselves most likely came from a poor urban neighborhood with poor schooling that may be the cause of their difficulty in school. I would bet top dollar if those same kids went to some private schooling or a better school district they wouldn't be having the academic difficulties they have now. I'm not making excuses for your friends though, they could simply be dumbasses.
Education raises IQ. Even IF blacks were born with lower IQ's, proper education throughout their years would play a huge part in raising those numbers.

Where's that one guy out of a hundred that finishes school but doesn't graduate? NFL/NBA draft?
Vince Young had an education from UT-Austin and scored at a re -level on the wonderlic test. I don't think his education was the problem there.
I had a class with Vince Young. What he did at UT in no way resembled what actual college students do to work towards their education. He would just show up every once in a while and crack jokes in front of the 200 person class like he was still in high school.
I rememba reading he couldn't even spell his name until his sop re year of high school
And yeah I remember having a 100 level gened course that had UofA's entire 2009 basketball recruiting class in it. I was actually surprised that they showed up to every class, but all they did in the class was flirt with any jersey chasers sitting near them and openly ask people for the answer to in-class clicker questions knowing the professor wasn't gonna get them in trouble![]()
Definitely see this a lot. Gross
The only person I had class with at UT who showed up less than Vince Young was Jenna Bush.
Wow, considering those two were my classmates I'm seriously questioning the quality and rigor of my college education.
From my experiences with black men over the track/football/Navy/work years, I've came away with this...
More apt to be athletic, built.
Don't care much for reading.
Not too much into raising a family.
Yep, blessed with rhythm.
Will be looking for the easy way out of everything.
Don't care much for work.
Don't respect women.
yes I've known a few that were nothing like that. I am talking about in general/majority.
I have to add, if not for the black man, the USA would totally suck when it came to...
blues
jazz
R&B
running backs
sprinters
hurdlers
soul
basketballers
boxers
long jumpers
cornerbacks
wide receivers
triple jumpers
Now before somebody, "that is so racist!" yes it is and it's also the truth.

Putting a former President's daughter in the same sentence as an absolute dumb is comical.
