favorite series of all time (spurs)

Since this series looks to be very interesting, over the last decade which was your favorite to watch spurs wise? 2 series come to mind , 05' finals against detroit and the series where horry hip checked nash. i would have to go with 05' though, which series is yours?

'05 Finals is one of my favorites but only because I was there for Game 7. That series only had two good games, Game 5 and Game 7. The rest were home team blowouts. But being in the stands for an NBA Finals Game 7 that was tied going into the 4th quarter, meaning the entire season for both teams comes down to who can execute better for twelve minutes... man that was a great moment.

My favorite series is the 2006 WCSF loss to the Mavs though. That series had absolutely everything except the Spurs advancing. It's particularly painful because the WCF opponent that year would have been the Suns, who never beat that era Spurs team, and the NBA Finals opponent would have been the Heat, who by all counts shouldn't have won that Finals against the Mavs. Would have been the easiest repeat of all time if we had just got past the Mavs. Epic series though, one of those where you really couldn't hold it against the Spurs for losing. They gave it all they had.

I still take comfort in knowing the guy who said that to me was 20 years old and still in the 11th grade.

2003 Spurs/Lakers

Horry blowing the wide open 3 in Game 5 and Tim dominating in Game 6 with Kobe crying at the end. Great series.

04 hurt but the Pistons helped make up for it, tbh.

me too the serie 2006 was rally painful but so epic and emotional i mean we were down 3-1, and to see manu shoot this 3 but made a foul on dirk..DAMN!!!

and the serie vs suns with TD shoot the 3 was great too
but the best to come is SPURS VS OKC!!

05 Finals for sure

05 was such a roller coaster, Spurs winning 2 at home, everybody feeling good going to Auburn Hills. Then get embarrassed in games 3,4, Tim sitting on the bench in wide-eyed daze.

Then one of the NBA's greatest all-time games, Game5, with Horry tying regulation (Tim with a horrible game, including missing the point-blank put back for the regulation win. Horry scoring 14 pts in 4th + OT.

Then Spurs come home 3-2 to close out in Game6, and fail.

But prevail in Game7, with Bruce stuffing Chauncey's 3 pointer to seal the game.

I'd like to say 2005 Finals but I didn't really have much fun watching because it sent my anxiety through the roof. Mine would have to be 2005 Sonics when in game 6 Timmy reinjured his ankle and the Sonics fans erupted into cheers. Then he hits the game winner and shuts them the up.

Same here. Sonics were dirty and HATED the spurs. Pretty much tried to kill Manu but still got their asses beat. Ray Allen almost cried. Truly hated the spurs, it was great

Not just due to the MDM, but the way the Spurs went into Portland and rolled them. And the series win put the Spurs in the Finals for the first time.
